You get what you pay for
(I have not tried the thread hooks yet, so I will not comment on those)Pros - A good variety of hooks for a decent price. The handles are nice and feel good in the hands. It is always nice to have extra stitch markers and yarn needles.Cons - Hooks have a cheap feel to them. The surface of the crochet hooks are slightly rough and the yarn does not glide easily over the hooks as it does with other brands. The letters imprinted on the hooks are not correct, however the metric size is on it as well so you can use that, but you will need to take the time to look up the metric equivalent of the hook your pattern calls for if it is not already written in the pattern. The stitch counter is very cheaply made and very difficulty to turn the dials, I personally will not use them because they will be more hassle then what it is worth.

I am really happy with the set
I am really happy with the set. There is one problem, though. On the back of the box, the top comes off. It should be set in there firmer. I also have a suggestion. The set only goes to size L. You need to add additional larger sizes. I had to go elsewhere for sizes M - P.

Perfect complete set
I'm not a fan of aluminum or any metal hooks. And the plastic hooks have broken. I have a couple of ergonomic handled hooks but cannot find other hooks from the brand to get more hooks. When I saw this 11 piece set for both yarn and lace I thought these would be a good solution.Yes it is. The soft rubber handle is well designed and so far my hand hasn't become tired or sore. The kit also came with 2 counters, measuring tape, scissors, and other accessories I don't know what they're for yet.One thing I like about this set of rubber coated handled hooks is they are similar in handle size. Meaning the size 8 hook isn't that much wider than the size 4 hook. There's just a slight difference. My search for a complete set from one brand in one case has come to a successful end.

Good crochet set
Good crochet set. The only trouble i had with it. Is the numbers on the hooks wear right off. So you don't know what hook you are useing for yourv pattern. But if you check the gauge the Patturns you are working on and have an idea what I looks like. You can try a couple hooks and see if they come out the right gauge you should be working with.

Very nice set!
I gave 4 stars for a couple of reasons. First, I really like the kit, it has literally everything you need to begin crocheting. I have crocheted for decades, but wanted to try this set out anyway. Secondly, the grip is wonderful. It's like a soft rubber, not foam, but still very soft not spongy, though. Okay, that being said. You can pull the hooks out of you want to (it's a full crochet hook, not just a tip), you have to pull very hard but it can happen. The next thing I noticed is that the letters to metric size are not standard. For example, my Boye I/9 are 5.5mm, but the size I here is 6.0mm (their H is 5.5mm). I could go on comparing, but won't. Just something to note. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars.

Non-standard US sizing, not a good set for beginners
If you’re a beginner looking for every size hook in one set skip this one. You don’t get B, C, D OR F sized hooks in this set. You get a set of 20 hooks but the regular size (non-lace) crochet hooks are sized in .5mm increments: 2/2.5/3/3.5/4/4.5/5/5.5/6/7/8 so even though they are marked with letters *some* are the wrong size or a non-standard size. In the photo, the blue and yellow are from this set, the purple is a Clover G (4.0mm) and the green is a Boye E (3.5mm). The blue is labeled E-4.0 mm and the yellow is labeled D-3.5 mm. As you can see, the yellow D from this set is really an E and the blue E is really a G hook, two sizes bigger than the label! Would be a bummer to trust the markings and end up frustrated as someone new to crochet. You can google a crochet hook size chart easily enough but you’ll end up spending more than the price of the set to replace the 4 missing sizes. If you’re an experienced crocheter the hooks themselves seem fine, they don’t catch and the handles are comfy enough. I prefer Clover - these have the same kind of irritating seam in the silicone handle that the Boye hooks have. A few in between sizes aren’t bad if you already have the missing sizes since you get the big and lace size hooks. And the little extras with the case are a nice touch.

Not what I was hoping for
Some have rubber handles and some had hard plastic and we're uncomfortable. Some were printed sizes and some engraved. I wanted all engraved. It was a reasonable price but would not purchase again.

Great Value & Variety: Everything You Might Ever Need
I ordered this set because I wanted to have the smaller mm hook sizes for lace and miniatures. I've never had rubber handled crochet hooks before - they are great, very comfortable in your hand. The hooks are perfect and there are sizes that would work for nearly everything from big, bulky art yarns to fine silk thread. The accessories are useful, and I love that it all comes in a case to keep it all together. Great variety and value - would make for a great gift as a starter set for someone who wants to learn how to crochet.
