JESWELL Wireless Motion Sensor Light Battery Powered LED Night light, Wall Mounted or Stick Anywhere for Hallway, Stairway, Washroom, Wardrobe, Closet, On/Off Switch [Classic Style] [Energy Class A++]

Bought this to replace a different motion sensor light that had broken, and I'm afraid it's not quite fit for purpose – or at least not for what I need it for.My tiny hallway has no light fitting or wall socket, so a battery-operated light with motion sensor is ideal for when I come home at night and the hallway's otherwise pitch black in darkness.The light beaming off this JESWELL Wireless Motion Sensor Night light this light is not very bright but kind of warm (so not unpleasant), but it doesn't come on when it's actually dark, which kind of defeats the purpose of a 'night' light.The motion sensor only appears to work if there's at least *some* light in the room already and even then it may not work at every angle to the sensor, because it relies on where the light falls in to sense any motion... and even then it may take a couple of seconds and/or frantic motion to switch on...That's of no use to me, because I need the light to switch on as I walk in the door, not after I touched my way along a wall in total darkness to the light switch in the next room to create enough light for the motion sensor to – slowly – kick into action :)So I'll buy another light for the hallway, and then I'll move this one into a cupboard or some other place where it doesn't have to function as the first/main light source – I'm sure it'll be just fine for that.

the light still activates in dim daylight conditions so i switch it off until darkness falls lights up the landing on the stairs really well

Fab product, catches motion from a fair distance away. Lights up a good section of the door way also.

So far so good ! This light is very small, which is good as it is therefore discrete, but it gives off a perfect level of light for the bathroom through the night. Not too white, and stays on long enough. Like the fact that you can switch it off through the day when it’s not necessary, and just set to auto when going to bed (have remembered to do so every night to date). Would highly recommend, I am considering buying more of these for other places around the house, but will wait a few months to ensure no issues.

I have actually had 3 myself and also recommended them to friends who have also been impressed. They are brilliant when you need to get up during the night. As soon as you enter the bathroom the sensor picks the movement up and the light comes on. Stays on for about 20sec. unless more movement detected. Saves putting lights on

This light is ideal for the bathroom at night, it provides enough illumination so you can see but not so bright that it stops you getting back to sleep.

The light is pretty good but it doesn't stick anywhere: I tried it on painted wood and wallpaper but after a couple of hours, it fell off both. I'll screw the backing plate to the wall which will solve the problem.The LEDs are tiny bright points that I eventually covered with a shade made from a square of photcopier paper that diffuses the light a bit and reduces the glare to an acceptable level.
