Great product, I have been using these for years as custom earphone moulds.
I have been using these ear plugs for a number of years to create custom ear moulds for my in ear headphones for the gym. When setting the material, you can press your earphone into it and allow it to dry, and then cut a hole for the speaker to funnel the music into your ear. The process is very easy (for both headphones and noise reducing earplugs for that matter) and they set very quickly. It can be a little daunting, but you get enough material per ear, to make more than one plug. therefore if you mess one up, you tend to have enough left between the two , to make another. The material is very soft initially so you can mould it into the shape of your ear and then leave it to set. One piece of advice is to think about when these will be used when setting. By this I mean will your mouth be open or closed when using them, as opening your mouth will change the shape of your ear canal. Therefore if you will be keeping your mouth closed when using the finished product, make the mould with your mouth closed, however if you will be singing, speaking, or having your mouth open, I suggest to have something in your mouth during the drying process to alter the shape of your ear canal so that the finished product is a better fit for when your mouth is open. For example I am breathing heavy in the gym so I have my mouth open a little bit when making these. Those that are using them for sleeping may be different. All in all a great product and this is the 3rd set I have bought for different headphones over the years. They last a very long time and show no signs of wear after time.

Shrank while curing so got a bee y poor seal when dried.
I'm really disappointed with this product, they don't even come close to my last pair of custom molds that an audiologist took.I was extremely careful when making the molds to combine the components properly and then did exactly as instructed in application, but they don't form an airtight seal properly and are effectively useless.I made absolutely certain to get a really good seal in my ears with the putty, and while it was still soft the noise reduction was excellent and I was expecting a good end result. However, I'm sure I felt the putty shrink slightly as it dried. It pulled away very gently from my ears and the seal broke, exactly the same on both sides.I made sure that I didn't move my mouth at all from the moment that I fitted them.I didn't do the molding wrong, the end result looks exactly as in the diagram with a small stem from the ear canal and a really good chunk of surrounding material completely filling the outer ear.Despite my best efforts to do these as well as I possibly could, the end result is completely useless and have a negligible effect on noise levels.Money wasted. Would have been much better off spending more money for a proper set from an audiologist - which is what I'm going to have to do now anyway.

They don't work as earplugs. terrible seal - save your money.
So I was skeptical going into buying these as the reviews aren't so great. From reading positive reviews I assumed these bad experiences were user based so I decided to give it a try.A problem I did not have was with missing items. Inside the box was instructions, 2 pots of each colour of the material along with a case/bag.I watched several youtube videos before attempting this including one from the company themselves. When it came to actually moulding these I took the extra step of biting down on something to keep my mouth open (as ear canals are wider this way) and to ensure my jaw did not move. Working time was about 2 minutes after mixing for 30 seconds (people seem to be complaining of it setting too soon) and I removed the plug from my ear after 12 minutes. I made sure to put a generous amount inside my ear and as all sound was blocked I was sure I had a good seal. And thats where the problem with this kit comes in, the seal. As these began to set up I immediately realised that the material was actually contracting ever so slightly as it set, meaning that almost all soundproofing was gone. I still had some hope at this point as I knew when I closed my mouth things would be a bit tighter. That unfortunately was not the case. The material did work and from an aesthetics standpoint and I got a good result. They took well to the shape of my ear and the material is firm but slightly flexible. Unfortunately however, since they don't seal they block little to no sound, and believe it or not thats a critical problem with what are supposed to be earplugs. If you are using these to make custom headphone tips for comfort you will be happy with this product. But expect no soundproofing what so ever. Terribly disappointed with this product and I'll be going back to buying alpine earplugs here on amazon as they are the same price and actually work. Plus you wont have to waste half an hour of your time with those.
