Baby's First Handprint and Footprint Plaster Moulding Kit

these sets are useless to use with babies and very young toddlers as the blue gel can take 10-15 minutes dry, although I use a hairdryer to speed up this time with my 6 year old it can still be tricky with very young children, if you can wait until nap time and have them on your lap and do it whilst they are asleep that would be a lot easier if your wanting to use it on very young children, I used this for my 6 year old and wow the end result was amazing!! it captured every fine line and even his finger prints in very fine detail and the 3d affect is beautiful, I have purchased another to do his footprint and I will buy more to use on my toddler when he is older, for now i'll stick with the normal soft air drying clay for him :)

I purchased this as one of the items for a family friend's Baby Shower as I had no idea what to buy for an unborn Boy/Girl who had been purchased almost everything a baby could require...and that was before she was born.The Frame is wooden and if you have an artistic streak you could very easily decorate it with Pink/Blue jewels making it a one off.It's a fabulous item which is definetly something that can be kept for years to come as a memory of childhood and ideal for a boy or girl.

I bought this to create my daughters footprint for her daddy's first Father's day. Despite following the instructions to the tee the gel didn't set at all, nevermind in the 1 1/2 mins the instructions claimed it would take. This meant I couldn't take a mould of her foot and cetainly couldn't cast it. Had to bin the lot, a complete waste of money.

We ve not yet used this but it appears to be very good for the price, we ve yet to see if we can get a tiny foot in it, hand print is impossible

For anyone buying this to do baby prints I suggest you change the method.It's impossible to keep a baby still for the time stated, which turns out longer anyway. I didn't even attempt it.I made my prints in play doh first then used the gel to mould my print & then placed the gel inside the plastic & poored the plaster! It's much easier & if you don't get a good first print in play doh you can have plenty of attempts before you use the gel.Beware of air bubbles!!! I'd tap your gel in the bowl a few times before you poor to get rid of what's in your mix then poor very slowly.I've used This method 3 times on my kids & it's turned out great, I painted the hand & foot with gold radiator paint then sprayed with enamel spray for extra protection.Best thing about this method is if there's ever an accident with your print whilst hanging, if you keep your play doh print as a back up you never loose your babies print. I know it's a bit more work but if you want a special keep sake it's well worth it.good luck xxx

IT APPEARS SIMPLE BUT YOU HAVE TO HOLD THE BABY'S HAND AND FEET IN PLACE FOR TWO FULL MINUTES BEFORE THIS SETS. THIS IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE WITH A NEW BABY, AS ANY PARENT WILL TELL YOU. DISAPPOINTED. THE CAST DID NOT TAKE AND SET WITHIN 8-10 MINUTES, NOT THE 2 MINUTES STATED, BEFORE IMPRESSIONS WERE ABLE TO BE OBTAINED. IT IS NOW IN THE BIN. WASTE OF MONEY.

This seems so much fun. Its just what I wanted. As it is going to be a gift it hasn't been used yet, but looks like its easy to use.

this is a great product, BUT you have to follow the instructions exactly, for babies or children that won't keep still do it when they are asleep, I've added a pic to show results :)

Die abformmasse taugt nicht für babies, die nicht still halten. Habe es mit schlafendem Kind versucht, aber das hat das Kind geweckt.
