Love it.
It’s such lovely face wash. Doesn’t feel dry after wash a small amount can go a long way. I personally love Poppy Austin which produce such good product for my age as 47.

Works for my sensitive skin
I have mature, sensitive but oily/combination skin. I was looking for a wash off cleanser, as normal wipe off cleansers can leave my skin feeling a like the cleanser is still there and me feeling a little ‘grimy’. I thought I would try this cleanser as the other reviews were good. Long story short, I have just ordered my second bottle. It’s quick and easy, my skin feels clean but, without the tight dry feeling that some oily skin cleansers can leave behind. No reaction to this cleanser, no dry scaly patches, no added dry lines around me eyes. For me it is just what I wanted. Having spent three decades and a serious amount of money on named brands, I can quite happily say that this cleanser is every bit a good and at least half the price (depending on your normal brand!). Ps. The company have just sent me a lovely follow up email to check I am happy and to thank me for ordering their product again. Great service too and much appreciated! In my humble opinion it’s a winner! 😊

Great face wash
I bought this alongside some other Poppy Austin products. This is a great face wash, and leaves my face feeling noticeable softer, smoother and cleaner than just water alone. I do however need to follow it up with some form of moisturiser otherwise my face quickly dries out (I'm not sure if that's what is meant to happen or if that's just me hence 4 stars - happy to be corrected). I've been using the Poppy Austin rosehip oil afterwards, and together these two products seem to be a good combination. Would definitely buy again. Also great to find a cruelty free beauty product.

Saved my skin IMHO
I recently decided now that I am over 35 I would start looking after my skin. I have always had a shine on my forehead and when I ran my fingers over it I found my fingers covered in oil. Furthermore, my skin is sensitive and prone to breakouts. I decided to purchase this cleanser as part of my skin care routine. It has been a few weeks now and there has been a significant improvement. Instead of my forehead being oily it now has a nice glow. Bye bye oil my face has been rejuvenated & I look forward to keeping on top of it. I am a very happy man & I highly recommend this product. The scent is just right & it lathers really well. Sorry for writing a drawn out review, it’s better than saying item arrived on time, good product. *****

Second purchase
Had been searching for a decent foaming cleanser and found this a while ago. I wanted to use it with a facial brush and still get a lather, tick. I wanted it to be ethical, tick. I did not want an over powering smell, tick. ( I strayed and tried the Sukin foaming cleanser, whilst good, it was like washing your face with lemon meringue pie.) Of course I wanted it to make my ageing skin clean without upsetting it, tick.I use it every morning to remove residue of night cream for a blank canvass for day cream etc. You need to rinse skin thoroughly and or tone.Do not use this for makeup removal you will get it in your eyes and be very sorry so be careful in the morning too.Remember this vitamin C cleanser will naturally encourage your top oldest skin cells to shed so you may think it is drying. I exfoliate gently twice a week with my homemade skin scrub which reveals the glow beneath. You only need a tiny amount so this large bottle will last ages. Everybody has differing skin needs so it may not suit you. I happen to love it.

Could Clean The BBQ Grill
AWFUL. After Clever Soap discontinued their zinc pyrithione face wash I was forced to find an SLS-free alternative.Anyway, searching for a new staple product can be daunting; there’s just far too much to choose from. I’d noticed Poppy Austin products all over Amazon, but they never seemed all that intriguing. Something about the overly large quantities, the sort of banal ingredients, I don’t know. I just don’t like to commit to huge bottles of face products.I should’ve gone with my gut, but I got so tired of searching, I went for it.And it took just over a week for this face wash to brutalise my skin. It is FAR too harsh, particularly for ‘ageing’ skin! And ANY face wash that burns the eyes this much should be banned! I promptly returned it and purchased the colloidal oatmeal wash from Clever Soap, which has been a godsend. My skin was so sore and peeling so badly that I was forced to use Savlon antiseptic cream after using my usual glycolic peel mask from The One to get rid of the dead skin more quickly. Surprisingly it’s always been great for my skin, even when it’s been damaged, and I couldn’t stand that rough skin all over my face. So, after washing with Clever Soap followed by nightly treatment with my usual glycolic product, face cream and Savlon (I LOVE that stuff! I used Neosporin my entire life in the U.S., and it doesn’t compare to Savlon; I love the smell as well), my skin finally looks and feels normal again.I don’t know how anyone can tolerate this product. I may be sensitive to an ingredient, but I can’t recall a reaction like this since the 80s/90s when Retinol ™/Retin A ™ was the big thing, or the time I used a defunct sun lamp. That vitamin A was awful stuff too, and I never got why everyone was so nuts about raw skin; our skin regenerates on its own as long as our bodies are healthy and we’re performing basic hygiene. Cleanse gently at least once per day (too often strips the skin of its healthy natural oils), moisturise (a quality product needn’t cost a fortune, and there’s only so much external cosmetics can do, so keep it simple; an emulsion of plant oils and water is all you need, i.e. try to avoid petroleum-based ingredients (petrolatum, etc.) and animal fats (squalene (whale or olive derivatives) or lanolin (sheep’s wool) especially if prone to breakouts. Essential oils can be harsh, but the right ones blended well will make your skin glow: rose hips seed oil, jojoba (molecularly the closest to skin’s natural oils), mandarin oil, lavender, wheat germ etc. Bobbi Brown makes a great face oil.You shouldn’t need to moisturise much, though. Try to allow your own oils to take care of your skin. If you’re too dry, you’re likely over-cleansing or your body needs something it’s not getting. Start taking pure omega 3 oils every night and see what happens; bad skin, hair or nails are generally signs of an illness, deficiency or imbalance somewhere. Of course genetics, stress and environment can be at fault, but if there are changes it’s time to take stock.Oh, and toners are pointless. If you’re not getting all of the makeup and dirt with cleansing, you’re not doing it properly. Using a clean flannel (gently) when you wash will be ensure that dead skin and grime gets washed away.

Simple, overpriced cleanser.
Not quite sure what to make of this cleanser.I've used it now for a month or so, not noticed any (claimed) benefits on my skin. This seems to clean the skin and not much more. Can not use it for removing eye makeup- it stings like HELL! I knew that this was not to remove eye makeup, but when tiny bit of a foam got, accidentally, in my eye- it stung me! Pretty awful!I am quite sure that I will use this up but wont repurchase anymore.
