HEAVY BUT WORTH IT!! The most solid Laptop Stand I have yet seen!
This laptop stand should have a weight warning on the box because it is the most solid heavyweight steel construction stand I have ever seen. it comes in many parts, but don't let that overwhelm you. Each part is designed to go together with a minimum of fuss and the power coat finish makes it feel like the professional level item it is.The number of options for construction will satisfy anyone looking for multiple mounting options. It comes with 2 x 10 inch feet that bolt to the bottom of the uprights that can also be swapped for 2 clamps that can be mounted horizontally and vertically, so that you can attach this to cross members, a table top, a rack stand or just have it free standing. Truly a lot of options for any occasion. The adjustable width shelf, support bars with trick little extenders and supply of perfectly formed screws and washers give the entire unit a feeling of class that plastic stands simply cant compete with. Do yourself a favour and don't bother looking at cheap stands. for the price, this one is perfect and will last you a long time. The only reason I knocked a star off the assembly score is because there are NO instructions. There is a registration card, and it has a QR code, but having a link to online instructions would have made this perfection. Its not hard to assemble if you lay the parts out and identify them, but had there been provision for that, it would have gotten five stars for everything!

Great product and for that price it`s almost like staealing! ;-)
I was looking for a cheap laptop and controller stand for some time, when I discovered this one. I wasn`t sure what to expect because of some people reviews.. But let me tell you this is the best piece of kit you can buy for 13(!) quid! Ok. It hasn`t got manual, but please.. I`m not a DIY person and managed to do it very easily. People who were giving it 2 starts just because it didn`t have manual are just simply moaners or haters. Because of people like them, someone might be put off from buying it! You can adjust width so it will fit most of the laptops and also you have like a little tray below it, where you can put soundcard or mini controller. I for example have laptop 15" top, alesis drum machine on the tray, APC40 below it, and it works great. It` also well built. Recommended. BTW If you really can`t put it together and want to leave negative comment.. Please ask someone who knows how to do it. Thanks

Fits like a glove
Great stand, fits perfect for my equipment (mini synth on top, effects processor on the shelf) securely clamped behind my main controller keyboard. It is very sturdy and does not wobble when playing the synth. As others have stated, it comes without instructions. I'm not downgrading it to 1 star for this (like some have done), but I deduct a star for an otherwise perfect product.I managed to assemble it first time, but I can perfectly understand why some struggle with it. Without the reference picture on Amazon, I would have struggled too. It's not a cheap product and well packaged, so the assembly instruction oversight is quite puzzling. Also, it comes with 2 sets of 4 screws (depending if you use the flat stands or desk clamps). One set was fitted with washers, the other not. I had to find some washers for those first, as otherwise the screws would have protruded and left scratches / dents on my desk when clamping it down. And since the screw sets have different sizes, you can't reuse the washers, which were supplied.Another unnecessary annoyance for an otherwise quality product.

Quite stable but a pain to assemble
I guess I should have measured things up first, but this was a lot smaller than I was expecting. I can't deduct any points for that, though, as I didn't do my homework. It does mean that I couldn't put my Arturia Minibrute on the top level and a second controller keyboard on the lower shelf as I'd originally hoped, but I've rethought things and I've dropped a couple of fx pedals on the shelf instead. On the positive side, this thing seems reasonably stable when it's all assembled and tightened fully. However, it was a real pig to put together. I think it was partly user ineptitude, mixed with some not particularly well fitting components and topped off with instructions that only covered how to assemble the desk fittings (the easiest part of all!). Not even a picture of the assembled item to follow along to! I ended up looking at the Amazon listing to work it all out. It's not that it's particularly complicated, but it's fiddly. One concern is that I don't think the screws and knobs will take much disassembly and reassembly before they strip. I would say this is a one-time assembly, so best get it right first time. Which I didn't.I also noticed that the shelf section is actually not too difficult to bend out of shape. I wouldn't want to put anything heavy on it, or anything that was going to be pushed down on - I'm actually relieved my keyboard doesn't fit on the shelf, as I'm quite heavy handed and I can imagine it giving out.The product description proudly boasts strict adherence to the REACH standard, suggesting you're getting a high quality product. However, REACH is the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals, so their phrase "We understand the importance of good quality stands; therefore we have paid particular attention to the finest details, ensuring all materials used are of REACH standard and do not compromise the durability or quality of the product. We focus our attention on endorsing safe and strong materials down to the smallest thread" is meaningless, even misleading. It's staying in the studio, so I'm not overly disappointed with the purchase - especially at around Β£20 - but I don't think it would take much battering on the road and I would caution people to set realistic expectations when buying. Oh, and to measure up . . .
