best colours for brightness are green and aqua
doesn't glow very intensely but then none of the purple glow in the dark powders from other manufacturers do, best colours for brightness are green and aqua. if you are using this in resin then use a fast set resin with an accelerator and ideally it should be a clear resin.

Much, much, weaker and shorter glow time than the other colours in this range.
I’ve been trying to make a little set of “glow in the dark” ornaments and I’ve now tried all four of the SFXC glow in the dark pigments, (Green, Aqua blue, sky blue and Violet), using resin as the medium. To cut to the chase, I found;GREEN - brightest glow and seems to last about the longest time, though the aqua may last a little longer. Hard to really say.AQUA BLUE and SKY BLUE - Not as intense as green, but still good and give a “warmer” glow. I thought the aqua blue lasted a little longer than the cobalt blue and about as long as the green.VIOLET - easily the weakest glow and for the shortest time.To try and do a direct comparison of the four, I made four small resin casts, - clear resin gives the best results - using the same method and the same amount of glow pigment in each. (Initially, using a mixture of 20g of pigment and 20g of resin to coat the inside of the mould, until it was starting to set and then back-filling the mould with the basic resin, without any pigment).Once demoulded and fully cured, I then shone a UV light on each for about a minute, to give each one a good boost of light, although in the case of the violet pigment, I found it needed much longer before I saw any real glow.I found the green to be easily the brightest and most intense. It looks really good. The aqua blue and sky blue gave pretty good glows too, although not as bright as the green. These gave a “warmer” glow, to me. Of all the colours, the aqua blue seemed to last the longest, or about the same as the green. This violet pigment, however, was easily the most disappointing. It didn’t really glow anything like as strongly as the other three, even after extended exposure to UV light. (Reading about these glow in the dark pigments afterwards, it seems that the purple pigment is known to need a lot of light exposure to get it to work, and even then the glow it gives is relatively weak and short lived, relative to the other colours).I tried to take a couple of photos to show the differences, unfortunately, they really don’t do the colours or the various glows justice. They all look much better in the dark with the naked eye (also, the bright green comes out yellow and the violet, dark blue for some reason, in the photos).Photos (left to right); green, aqua blue, sky blue and violet.I have given this violet pigment three stars because there is nothing “wrong” with the pigment, it just seems that the violet colour is a difficult glow colour to achieve. (Apparently, white and orange glow pigments are also pretty bad and red is even worse than violet)

Useless...
I purchased this on the back of using the green pigment of the same brand (which works very well). But the purple version is TOTALLY ineffective! Even when exposed to UV light and immediately put in the dark there is VERY little to no glow!! Buy the green, that stuff works. Avoid the purple, it's useless! I have yet to try the blue one i purchased at the same time as this one, fingers crossed it's not a waste of another tenner.

It doesn’t glow
Amazing stuff if you like glow in the dark that doesn’t actually glow when it is dark. Absolutely rubbish, the green is great and the blue is good but dont bother with the purple its just white dust in a bag
