This glue is super!
Gorilla tape has been a staple of my hiking and camping kit for many years and I know how strong that stuff can be, so I decided to add some of this super glue gel to my bag.I've never been a big fan of superglue, I find it's always dried up when you need it and often is a nightmare to apply and not great on a whole range of materials. This glue hasn't disappointed like that though, I used it to repair a pair of walking boots which had started to split on the sole in places and the lower and mid soles were separating. I'd already bought some new boots but thought if they could be cheaply saved then they'd be a useful spare pair. The glue instructs you to shake well and this is really important, without shaking the glue is runny and doesn't work as well. After a good shake the glue is gel like and remains in place the consistency also meant it did a good job of getting into and filling the splits, initial tests seem to have the glue not letting water through now, I doubt the boots will be any good for prolonged submersion but they seem to be doing fine with splatter of water. Before glueing they were leaky in even light puddles. The glue is still sticky for a while after application, 5 minutes after applying I tried to put pressure on the sole by standing on carpet, this lead to lots of stuff becoming stuck to the sole.I've also used it on some dress shoes which were coming apart however it is worth baring in mind that the glue does dry clear it is noticeable upon close inspection.I've tried this on leather and rubber (and accidentally fingers) and have no doubt it would work on lots of materials. I can't comment on if it drys out or not as I only opened it a few days ago, however in that time the glue has strongly bonded my shoes and I imagine it will last for a long while.

Needs to be in tube
Thought i would spend a little extra on decent glue and this glue is thick and works a treat. The issue is the plastic bottle housing it is only half filled and the glue is very thick making getting the glue out a little hard.If it was in a toothpaste style tube it would be great. It sticks better then cheaper gluesAnother reviewer who gave five stars said the hard bottle makes applying more easy.Rubbish i say. It makes it harder as the glue is so thick and the bottle is not hard and as it is half full means applying is hard.I am a over 6 foot strong guy so it is not due to a lack of strength.

Useless
The first thing that struck me about this glue was how little you get for your money. When I took the bottle out of the packaging it was only nearly a quarter full (see picture). When I came to use it, it was virtually impossible to get any out of the tube. Initially I thought it would just require a little effort as it was gel-based. After squeezing the bottle until the walls were touching, I still got nothing. Could it just be that it needs a bit of warmth/shaking after being sat in a warehouse for weeks? Nope. Even after heating it up, putting a stainless steel ball bearing in there and giving it a couple of minutes on my vortex mixer, I was still unable to coax any out of the tube. The tube was not blocked. I could quite easily run a straightened out paper clip through it without any opposition (and when the paper clip was removed there was no glue on it at all). The only way to get at the glue was to unscrew the tube completely and dip into it with a cocktail stick.Does it stick? Yes. That was it's one saving grace. It stuck very firmly and rapidly. The whole point of a gel-based glue is to create less mess, and in the process give you more control and save time. I would have created less mess and done the job faster with a cheap superglue bought from a pound store. Using this in its original bottle is like trying to squeeze a glacier through a manhole cover.
