the bandage was easy to manipulate around complex and rather badly constructed torso ...
Crikey, where do I start with this review? OK, I was mandated to construct a life sized Referendum Effigy to burn on a bonfire in early July 2016 ( anyone reading this review in 40 years time probably won't understand and I'm not saying which effigy we burnt) . So, after moulding the chicken wire torso maquette, I needed something to flesh it out. Paper Mache wasn't going to cut it. And then I wondered about the stuff that goes around fractures. This plaster of Paris bandage worked brilliantly- it set hard enough to hang a blue suit and purple/ yellow tie on and also burnt for ages. After a quick dip in warm water, the bandage was easy to manipulate around complex and rather badly constructed torso frames. It also set within 20 minutes. Good stuff although it didn't go very far in my project and I had to order more

Works good
Modroc, ArtRock, HobbyCraft you can call it what you like but it is just Plaster of Paris Bandages in the end it only a name you pay for. I have used Modrock and hobbycraft products works in the same way when using warm water no different. only drying time but it depends on what room temperature you have in your home. But I have found that this ArtRock sets quicker then the others also it a good value for the money and it is much better using a 15cm then a 8 cm, roll you get more things done quicker when making hills or landscapes, also when you open the bag you don't get all the powder falling out like is other product that I have used, and it nice to work with sets hard and easy to paint over I use it to finish off my landscape for my Lemax Christmas houses build this year. when I run out I will buy again. And no I didn't get it for free to write a review it's just in my opinion.

excellent for making masks
I ordered these to make a mask. The 'bandages' come impregnated with plaster of paris and you soak them ion water and then place them on a proformer. You dont need seperate plaster of paris. They set quite quickly but you have enough time to get the smooth finish you are looking for. If you use clingfilm under the bandages then the mask comes off the proformer easily. Its probably not for very young children but an 8 year old could enjoy having a go with this under adult supervision. The end result can be painted and Im going to varish mine too which I assume will work. There are enough bandages in the pack to make a couple of strong masks - 5 layers thick seems to work well. I would certainly use this again - much quicker than papier mache and a better finish.

A little more plaster needed on fabric try damp tissue layer first
If this product had a little more plaster on the fabric then it would be 5 stars, as is only suitable as a Base layer but the instructions do say to put 3 layersIt was fine for what I wanted to do1 package of 4 rolls is enough to cover a medium sized rocking horseas in photo.I have found that by putting damp tissue down first helps to spread the plaster more evenly, giving a smooth finish like clay, especially when the weather is hotThe fabric is strong and does not fray when cutting into smaller strips even when wet, holds shape well when working on small detailsSo therefore changing this to 5 stars instead of 4

... bought this for making a model - it was great and when I had to go and get more ...
I bought this for making a model - it was great and when I had to go and get more in a hurry I found something similar in my local art shop at about 3 times the price - this is really good value and arrived very promptly - next time I will buy more than I think I need for the job! Probably good idea to have some PVA too which you can mix into the water to make the plaster less powdery.

It's alright
I don't have experience with modroc beforehand but it was fine. Held a modroc sculpting workshop with this and everyone enjoyed themselves. Had trouble sticking this on simply the surface of balloons but it must have been the cold water.

Not ready-made.
Not what I expected at all. Was wanting actual pouring POP...had been looking at another bucket of POP on Amazon that was exactly what I wanted but ordered this instead because it offered Amazon Prime and will now need to find another use for it. Had wanted a bucket of ready-made pouring POP to take on holiday for taking casts of animal footprints. Will look more carefully next time or order earlier.

Great product, works very well
While I have had little experience with this product, I found it to be nice to work. Wanted to give some positive feedback as so much rubbish is being sold on Amazon its looking more like Ebay each day, bad sellers and sub standard products. So this for me worked well, packed well. I would recommend. Hope this helps you.
