Philips X-tremeVision 85122XVS2 Xenon headlight bulb D2S, set of 2

Very bright, crisp white light with excellent road visibility. Easy swap and feels safer when driving at night. Pricey but worth it for performance.

The result is unreal, it feels at least 50% more brighter and I can notice at least 25% more road being lit up properly. You probably thinking this is another fake review but let me start the whole story. My car, a 2012 year Mercedes E350 with xenon lights, one is showing blue colour and one is showing yellow. I am pretty sure they are the stock ones from factory and has not being change in the past 8 years. I will not be changing them and thought they'd last forever but I was so wrong. I literally have spend hours and hours to study and understand the xenon bulbs, which I should have done in my uni days. The conclusion is, regardless they called, ultimately they are light bulbs and they do fade over the years. With chemical deposites built up within the chamber and cause burn to the glass, reducing the light output. If left un-checked and they will explode one day, taking your light cluster with it to the bin, potentially cause serious injury. Search on internet and you will find all the horry stories, peoples with exploded xenons. The installtion is not the easiest nor the hardest I have ever done but this depends on your card and your skills. I have followed all the requirement of dusting off all the work area and wear gloves, also avoid contact with any glass and ceramic part of the light bulb during installation. Scary. When I took my old bulbs carefully out, guess what I found? Both my old D1s xenon light bulbs had hairline crack on the glass! Further more the glass of inner chamber are really cloudy and covered in crystalised deposite(some say it is salt within the filled air), some burnt area looks like going to crack the inner chamber in the next second. I was so worried that I literally holding two D1s grenade. But in otherhand I was so lucky to discover this before it cause thousands of pounds of repair bill from Mercedes if they were to exlode and taking my light cluster with them together. Shipping time if you interested. I made my purchase here and waited 3 days with my Prime membership. Turns out it came from Amazon EU warehouse. Maybe Amazon should be more pecific about UK or EU stock. Philips and its rival brand(not to be named) are the only automotive bulbs I buy over the years, it is my personal preference but you know when you choose these brand you are in safe hands. This particular Philips D1S seems the right one for my car and myself.

Brilliant product, well worth the money, made a great improvement

Used this bulb as a replacement in a Jaguar XF the bulb fitted fine and is the correct brightness to match the other one. Having said that you should swap out both but have been unable to due to the unrelenting rain. Oh this bulb fits multiple vehicles but you must remember to swap out the black collar from you original bulb - very important so it will fit into the bulb housing.

Yes I found the made a decent increase in the amount of light and more white light which helps.

If your stubborn like me, you like to replace things like for like - my car had these bulbs, one went, I needed a new one so I bought the pack. Yes, they are expensive and you can get far cheaper alternatives but they simply won't compare on level of brightness and also longevity of these bulbs. 5 star product, 4 star price... But still cheaper than getting them from a dealer and having them installed! Dealer wanted 180 quid for the bulb and another 300 quid labour. I got these for whatever the price was and installed myself (after checking YouTube admittedly) - job done

Super bright white light. First night drive was a little troublesome, they were blinding oncoming cars so I had to have the headlight pattern lowered slightly. Perfect now though.

Le lampadine sono arrivate molto in anticipo rispetto la data prevista. Il prodotto è originale ( verificato sul sito internet ). La colorazione, anche se in foto sembra azzurrino, è di un bel bianco. Una via di mezzo tra bianco caldo e bianco ghiaccio. I 4600 kelvin dichiarati secondo me sono giusti.. rispetto le originali (xenstart Philips di 10 anni) fanno molta luce..il fascio è omogeneo e va in profondità. Ora è da provare con pioggia ma penso che non ci siano problemi...120% di luce in più??non credo ma rimane comunque un ottima alternativa. Sono soddisfatto. ...der First World Problems. Mal im Ernst, jeder der sich diese Bewertungen hier durchliest, hat schon mehr Recherchezeit verblasen, als es in Wahrheit für das Thema angemessen wäre. So ging es auch mir. Viele Nachtfahrten, knapp 10 Jahre alte Philips XenStar in meinen S204 Mopf mit ILS von 2011. Wirklich zufrieden war ich nicht mehr mit der Lichtausbeute. Danach gegooglet, unzählige YouTube Vergleichsvideos geschaut, am liebsten von Hollowman, Preise verglichen. Am Ende war ich zu geizig mir die anscheinend "besten" Xenonbrenner Osram Night Breaker Laser zu kaufen. Da ich mit den Werksbrennern von Philips vom Lichtbild zufrieden war und die Helligkeit nach 9 Jahren auch noch im Rahmen war, wenn auch gelblich, gab ich den Philips Xtreme Vision eine Chance! Für 99€ im Duo Pack preislich besser als besagte Osram NBL. Was soll ich sagen: Klare Kaufempfehlung! Die Dinger sind brutal hell, reinweiß und jede Nachfahrt ist als hätte Malcom den Komodo 3000 gezündet! Das Lichtbild ist ebenfalls so gleichmäßig wie mit den Werksbrennern. Auch bei Regen sieht man mehr als vorher. Und ja, am Thema "einbrennen" ist was dran. Erst nach 10-20h haben die Brenner die volle Leuchtkraft aufgebaut. Also nicht erschrecken, wenn es nach dem Einbau und der ersten Fahrt kaum einen Unterschied zu den alten Brennern zu sehen gibt...das wird tatsächlich besser. Im Endeffekt hat es sich der Tausch wirklich gelohnt! Ob die Osram NBL NOCH besser sind, kann ich nicht sagen. Ich bin zufrieden und der Gegenverkehr anscheinend auch. Lichthupe gibt keiner. Zur Haltbarkeit kann ich nach knapp 4 Wochen noch nichts sagen, ergänze aber bei Bedarf meine Bewertung.
