HP 300XL High Yield Original Ink Cartridges, Black and Tri-Colour (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow), Pack of 2

I bought the XL ink cartridges for my HP Envy 120 printer.I wasn't sure whether to go for the standard or the XL ink cartridge. Physically they are the same size. I remember reading somewhere that if you consume a standard cartridge within say 3 months then it's probably a good idea to purchase the XL version.Both of my daughters attend secondary school so I decided to go with XL version. The inks do last for ages. Generally speaking XL cartridges provide best value for money.I purchased this item at full price. If the product is unworthy of a good review, I think it is unfair to leave positive feedback as this can mislead potential buyers. I hope you found the review helpful. Further to my earlier comment - I have only just needed to use the Colour element of this package. Unfortunately, for the first time ever the colour cartridge is NOT right!! I have, over the last 7/8 years been buying this product from several sources on a regular basis and, now, for the first time ever, there is a problem.The blue is not actually blue it's more of a DARK TURQUOISE and although it's not a bad colour - it doesn't do a lot for picture prints with sky, ocean, actual BLUE clothing etc - so you can understand that I probably won't be purchasing this product from you again.There should have been no problem the colour element has a 'use by date' of March 2018 so it is well within it's time and, I assure you that there hs been no tampering with it.Considering the cost of this product it is not good to receive a sub-standard item.

The tri-colour cartridge on this occasion was not as I would have expected. It was bought in October 2014 along with with the black cartridge duo set, so I had spares ready to go. Both were installed this March 2015. However the colour cartridge after a short time is no longer working and the printer is telling me to replace.Not at all happy with time scale as I do not use the printer that often and I have not used it for any photographs this year. I would therefore like the company to send me another package free of charge?

Genuine - the generic ones just aren't up to the job - and lasts a very long time indeed.However, it seems like it would have been cheaper to buy the black and the colour separately.Other than that, the XL cartridges are definitely worth the investment.

Black Ink cartridge is faulty. Only just opened and it is well within its expiry date. Will not align and, whilst showing as full on printer status, does not print at all. After cleaning printheads and trouble-shooting printer itself, finally installed another cartridge and it works. Tried installing this one again and finally printer told me it is faulty.Cannot return as it is outside returns policy period and also cannot find a way to contact customer services to report it as faulty.

These were to replace an unused pair bought with the printer (to replace the fitted ones) and work fine - just printed a wedding album for son & daughter-in-law.The ones I bought with the printer barely worked and showed lots of lines on the prints, also threw up an error message on the printer screen.Lots of high quality prints done with no problems whatsoever.

As proved time and time again, buying the OEM ink cartridges are far superior to aftermarket ones, these ones last for a decent print run and you don't get all the usual errors and beeping that you get when you try to put in non HP ones into the printer. Amazon seems the best priced place to get them. Go for the XL versions, they last twice as long as the normal ones

This is the second time i have bought the XL version of these refills. They last for ages, even with my 4 daughters printing regular homework assignments with them. Very good photo quality too, well worth paying a little extra for, they last at least 3 times longer than the normal refill.
