Some of these answers have somehow got into the wrong section and caused nothing but confusion! The item referred to for sale is the Nikkor 18~55mm zoom, ALL of which have a 52mm filter thread. How the 18~105mm became likned I cannot imnagine. The table above shows what is required for all these "short zooms"

This lens is good for everything from general photographs landscape and portrait,. I found it worked fine . afrom what I have been told and from reviews the 18 -140mm if you can afford it would give to the extra zoom. I found the lens went well for all uses with my 55-300mm. A good buy

From what I can glean on the computer it would appear that the FX range lenses are compatible with the Nikon D610. I use the D3100 and D5100 so I would visit a local camera shop.All I have done is entered FX lenses and compatibility. Best advice that I can offer DRW
