Makes losing weight slowly so easy.
I was very impressed with this book. It shows nearly all the food items you are likely to eat. It also shows the calorie content, as well as protein and fat, making it very easy to count the number of calories you are consuming. The pictures of portion size is also very handy as you can see at a glance what a portion looks like on a plate. It helped me realise the true calorie content of food. It's not all bad. For example 2 rashers of back bacon and a poached egg come out at 178, less than a large bowl of porridge with milk at 246. So you can treat yourself. I've found it easy to do and now take my fasting days with a pinch of salt. After 5 weeks I've gone from struggling to get in size 14 jeans to just about getting into size 12. I think the reason it works is by educating you about the number of calories in everyday things. You could actually eat your whole day's allowance in 1 very fattening item. Great at the time but not very satisfying for the rest of the day. So it makes you think twice on your non fasting days about what you eat. On those days I still eat anything I want but almost subconsciously eat less of it.

EXCELLENT LITTLE BOOK - We have been using it with every meal!
What a great book this is! It has really helped us to work out the Calories, Protein, Fat and Carbs as we follow the Fast 800 and 5:2 Diet. It really makes calculating the ingredients of your meal easy.The pictures make the amounts much clearer and the entire layout is great with a good Index at the back and with every ingredient clearly photographed and broken down by weight, portion control and nutrients.Thank You very much - it has helped us keep on track and I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to follow a precise diet.

Best recipe diet book
Great book. Helped me and husband to lose 1 stone so far each. Recipes are delicious, which helps me survive the two diet days. The rest of the time I eat what I like and still lost the weight. Book has a variety of really simple to make recipes, and the ones I've tried are really tasty. I like the food glossary pages at the back which helps me to see how many calories the food is. Recommend to anyone thinking of starting the diet.

AMAZING!!!! READ THIS BOOK!
Incredible little book.The 5:2 has changed our eating habits, the way we think about food, reduced our shopping bill and how much we throw away-thanks to the portion sizes considerably less and our health is MILES better. You see the difference very quick in your weight and on the scale! Hurrah!This book was just the little extra push we needed on the weeks that things seemed to slow down.Formatted incredibly well, striking attention to details, beautiful pictures with clear guidance in fat, proteins and calories. Controlled portions sizes, even the plates are measured!The best thing about this book is the online help it offers and I would highly recommend taken up this free offer!I would recommend that if you are on medication you should ask your doctors advice on the fasting days.Overall this is so worth the money for what it offers is brilliant!!

Really is an excellent book - highly recommended
I have pur hases several soup books with mixed results over the past couple of years with very mixed results, so I wasn't wildly optimistic about this one, however I have now made 4, healthy, nitritious and delicious soups and am very pleasantly surprised. They are not just tasty but the soup pictures all look appetising and info on calories and bowl size and nutritional value are superb too. It is a fantastic book for soups and the recipies are not complicated bit still lovely whether ypu are watching your weight or not. Brilliant book and a very happy customer. :-) Pictured below is the Tomato and Bean soup on page 179 as your 5 a day soup option - really delicious.

You get exactly what it says on the tin. Beautiful pictures, helpful recipes and advice on following the 5:2 diet. Haven't tried any recipes yet as I have to buy kitchen scales to get the weights correct (would have preferred a tablespoon of this and a cupful of that in stead of using grams etc), but I intend to get some scales soon. Inside it also tells you where to download menu plans which I think will be useful when starting this diet.

Found it very useful!
Found out about 5:2 diet about 5 years ago, it really works for me and my husband as it is easy and healthy - all what you need to do is to eat less. I am dieting all my life :) so know alot what is good and what is bad but still found this book very useful (and especially for husband who struggles sometimes to understand details...), very nicely made, good paper and great photos, very informative as it shows very clearly what can you eat and what you shouldn't or have in real moderation these two days, also has great recipes, already made couple and result is great.

Consult this book for every 5:2 fast day.
Have been using this book for a year now because it has such great recipes for 5:2 'fast' days.We would have given up the diet very quickly without it out of boredom - I had no idea what to eat in order to keep to 500/600 calories. We really enjoy preparing the meals suggested as well as eating them. We use the recipes for 'normal' meals as they are so tasty (with perhaps a bit more in quantity!).We would thoroughly recommend this book for anyone opting for this '5:2 diet. The diet works and the book works - so give it a go.
