For most metal cutting jobs you might need several of these with different shaped cutters. I managed with this but it was tricky to cut a long piece of lead along a straight line. If I have to cut more I will probably get a couple of different cutter styles.

a brilliant set of cutters, super sharp and go through thick plastic like its butter. I purchased these for a job that required me to cut through corrugated PVC sheets. I tried large scissors, knives, and even used a jigsaw. The tin snips were the only one that cut with minimal effort and did not cause the plastic to split/shatter. I've also used them on cutting thick cable ties and again they made light work of it.i still use them regularly for anything thats needs cutting, definitely one of my favourite go to tools that i know won't let me down.
