I’d been meaning to do this for a number of years, but I kept putting it off. However, the advent of a wonderful ultra high torque drill from my kids for Fathers Day, gave me the necessary power to drill into the stone. This is key to being able to mount anything in stone. Brick is a lot softer than stone, but the ironstone our house is made from is particularly tough. THIS IS NOT A FAULT OF THE MANUFACTURER OF THIS PRODUCT! Some reviewers seem to blame everyone else, but themselves. As with anything, if you have the right tools, any job is easy. If you have one ounce of common-sense, then everything is easy too. Why do you need instructions for this? It’s a waste of paper and resources! It’s simple to figure out.The item consists of :1) 1 piece of clear Perspex with your chosen words and numbers on.2) 1 metal (probably aluminium) backing plate3) 2 “pillars” or chrome (aluminium) spacers that the name plate rests on.4) 2 “end cap” chrome screws which fit into the chrome spacers5) 4 silicone plastic washers for fixing the end cap to the sign plate, one between the cap, and one between the pillar and the name plate (underneath). This stops the top plate being damaged.6) 2 self-tapping screws and two wall plugs. The screws fit inside the pillars.7) British made, support British jobs and the British economy.Hopefully, this helps those who need instructions.When the product arrives, it doesn’t look much within the packaging. However, after a dry-run just supporting the name plate on the backing plate with the chrome pillars and the end caps screwed into the pillars, it looks great. In daylight, it looks even better. There is a sort of 3D effect with the lettering seeming to float proud of the Perspex. It may well be the colour scheme with the black lettering on a black backing plate, but it looks great.Installation is not straightforward on uneven stone. However, using the brain does help. For example, try to find as flat a spot as possible. Secondly, my recommendation for stone is to get some Fischer Duo-Power wall plugs and use the screws the manufacturer provides. This is because the Fischers are very good at securing into stone (and everything else) since they create a two way friction with the stone/brick/etc.Technically, I should have used some sort of filler between the backing plate and the wall. I deemed it unnecessary. ONE WORD OF ADVICE. IF FIXING ON STONE, LIKE I DID, do not overtighten the screws that fasten it to the wall. This may result in the backing plate deforming as a protrusion on the stone may dent/buckle the back plate. I noticed this just in time and just reduced the tension in the screws.I actually was looking at Solar LED name signs which were £30, but all of them were coming in from China and would have taken over a month to arrive. However, for the same price, I managed to get the LED Lamp and the name plate from KSmart Sign. I did have to mount the led light on an old off-cut of wood so it would be proud of the name plate, though. The great thing about buying from K Smart Sign is that they’re a British manufacturer. That used to be a no-no because of years of poor quality products produced in Britain allowed imports in from countries that had invested in their manufacturing. K Smart Sign’s products are superb, of very high quality and match and better the Chinese for quality and above all price.Buy this name plate, support British jobs and the British economy, we’re going t need it with Brexit and Boris sucking up to some countries and making enemies of true strategic economic partners! THIS IS DOTTORE APPROVED. BUY IT!

Overall very happy with this sign, to say it is a custom sign it only took 2 days to arrive which is great.The quality of the sign seems great so far and looks really good too, the material seems sturdy so far however it’s not been up long so hard to say on how it holds up long term.The only slight downside I could say about the sign is the lack of instructions to actually put it up. It is easy enough to install without any instructions but it wouldn’t hurt to have them with the sign.Overall a great sign for the price and I would highly recommend.

There is nothing to dislike about this house plaque. The ordering process is simple and straightforward and you also have the luxury of tailoring it to meet your personal needs.The product also arrived very quickly ... even if I did then procrastinate about getting it put up! Talking of which, it is also very easy to put up. Anyone who knows me would be able to tell you that I am not the world's biggest fan of any task even mildly associated with DIY and even I was able to do the job in just a few minutes. There are no fixing instructions, but it really doesn't take much brain exercise to work out what has to be done! So, providing you have a decent drill and suitable sized masonry bits for it, then the job is a piece of cake.Highly recommended.

Lovely house sign. Tricky to install the back plate at the screws fit inside the housing. If going on wood it's ok but on stone walls, not so. Once that's on, the front plate is easy to screw in.Overall the sign looks lovely. I bought once for my parents.4 stars due to tricky installation of back plate. I would recommend this product.

The plaque arrived really quick, even in the current lockdown. It looks quite elegant and classy. Looks way more expensive than it actually is. I love the font, and love the fact that they managed to put the "semicolon sign" over one of the letters I specified. I read in few of the previous comments that installation was difficult. I agree that it doesn't come with fitting instructions. Having said that, I found it very simple to install and mount (with the enclosed screws and fittings). I just spent literally 5 minutes installing it (and I'm not the DIY/Handyman kind of person).

Very good quality door plate, glass effect acrylic and strong backing plate, looks great and can be seen from the end of the drive. Easy to fit and assemble, the plastic protective film was not easy to remove but that is what kept the glass fully protected. Recommend this item and seller. Looking at the photo I have attached the edging seems to be blue, it's not - it is black and very stylish with the cream backing to the numbers.

Brilliant purchase. Easy to install and it was handy having a video to show you in layman's language. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. The number sign is not tacky and looks really nice. Extremely pleased with purchase and is easy to read.
