This Beginners Meditation & Mindful Stretching consists of a few, very simple, fluid meditative practices for you to incorporate into your daily life. There is no right or wrong way to meditate. They are short enough to be practised daily or for an extended period if you have more time! By creating these sessions, Nadia is sharing her technique with you which enabled her to learn to meditate. These short but effective programmes are designed to leave you feeling calm and relaxed. The more regularly you practise, the calmer you will feel, and the better equipped you will be when faced with challenging situations, enabling you to respond rather than react. A meditation practice will give you space and an inner harmony - a precious commodity in modern life! Breathing (5 mins): This seated breathing meditation is about focusing your attention on the breath to feel grounded, centred and relaxed. Stress Release (5 mins): This seated meditation is about calming the mind and body by releasing tension. Energising (10 mins): This seated moving meditation begins with a few very gentle stretches such as neck rolls, slow spinal flexes, and side stretches, to name a few that will gently wake the body up and energise you! Stretching (22 mins): This slow moving meditation is about helping to unwind the mind and body. Through a series of select yoga postures held for a few minutes, Nadia will guide you into a state of pure calmness so you can move into a space of surrender and release. Thankfulness (15 mins): This gratitude meditation begins standing with some slow moving postures and ends in a seated meditation where you focus on what you are thankful for in this life. Savasana (8 mins) Lying in complete relaxation, Nadia will guide you through a savasana to lead you into a sweet serenity.

If you are looking for a moment of stillness.....
As a full-time teacher and part-time carer, who has had to live with insomnia, on and off for the last 7 years, a meditation DVD was just the thing. I bought Nadia Narain's "Beginners' meditation and mindful stretching" in the hope that I could sleep more, and turn off my mind from teaching matters. I am happy to report that this DVD is the only strategy that succeeds in "emptying" my mind of everyday issues, and allows me to sleep. Went back to school today, after the summer break, and did the "breathing" and "energising" meditations as soon as I awoke, and I was remarkably calm.afterwards. I would recommend this DVD to anyone who feels over-stimulated by 21st century life, and is looking to stretch out tension while finding a moment of stillness and peace.I also have Nadia Narain's "Everyday yoga for stress release", which I use regularly to burn off tension and relax. Both DVDs are brilliant, so buy them!

relaxing stretching and meditation; i fall asleep every time i do it! needs a mat and a cushion also maybe a band or belt for the stretching. very peaceful music, piano mostly.

Simple, effective and relaxing.
A nice easy way to relax and find some inner calm. I've tried meditation in the past and find my mind wanders and 10 minutes feels like an hour. This focuses on breathing and positive affirmations, which helps me feel calm and relaxed.I've also tried yoga, but being very inflexible I find even simple moves can be difficult and uncomfortable, so the simple stretches and movements are great...although I either sit on a chair or kneel as I can't sit cross-legged. A pleasant way to find some peace for those who are stressed, anxious or just in need of slowing down a little and taking some time out to focus on yourself.

It's very relaxing but the meditation needs to be guided more.
I really like this dvd from a stretching perspective but the meditation sections would benefit from much more narrative to keep you focussed on meditation rather than letting your mind wander off in all directions. So all in all I'm a bit disappointed with it. I have another relaxation DVD by this lady and I love that one.

Good product
A very good DVD I would not normally pay this price but reviews were good and I was not dissapointed. Easy to do and listen along to. All routines very easy and you have a good choice to pick from, no need to do all routines to get the benefit. You feel very relaxed after the routines. Highly recommend this product 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

My 20 minutes of bliss ❤️
I absolutely love this DVD, my favourite routine is the stretching one, 20 minutes of bliss, the stretches get right into my shoulders and relieve all my tensions, if I have time I do savasana or the breathing meditation afterwards. I couldn’t live without this now ❤️ xxx

Meditation and stretching.
I find this dvd great for my first step into meditation.The stretching exercises are so good too.I'm 66years young with a chronic lung condition.The breathing exercises are good and Nadia's voice is so relaxing soft and calming.I do parts of this dvd as part of my daily exercise routine and feel calmer and more flexible.
