The Chattanooga ColPac - Reusable Gel Ice Pack was helpful in every way possible in minimizing my stiff and sprained neck. At that time, I didn't know that cold packs like these would actually exist and that this "cold therapy" would actually work until I gave it a go. Before these were actually introduced me, when I usually get stiff neck from waking up on the wrong side of bed or sprained my neck from head movements too fast, I usually try to ride it out throughout the day by minimizing head movements until I get the chance to finally lay on my bed. Enter the Chattanooga ColPac. You put these gel icepack in the freezer and let it gather up its coolness. In an event where I sprain my neck or get a stiff neck, I whip this pack out of the freezer, and wrap it around my neck like a scarf and start my "cold therapy" session. At first try, I thought it was uncomfortable because I wasn't used to this. However, as I kept it longer in my neck and gave a deep breath and meditated, I somehow felt relaxed and the coldness that surrounded my neck, slowly made my stiff neck feel little by little, free. The Chattanooga ColPac have been helpful throughout the years of ownership (2015). The quality of the surrounding gel felt a quality as it has never punctured a hole on me or exploded on me. The gel retained its slushy properties as it never froze while it has retained to coolness around it. I find this as a setting it in the freezer and forget it type of item and when you need it, you can use it immediately, knowing that it has been chilled for your next use.

I love these cold packs! I’m a licensed massage therapist & I used them on clients all the time! I decided to get my own because of how wonderful they are. They’re great quality & I love How when they freeze, they don’t stiffen up like other cold pacs do. They definitely help me with my migraines & muscle tightness. I wish There was a Velcro hold to keep them in place because of how gushy they are, but overall, they’re great!

Very cold. Conforms to body part. Flat so it doesn’t have hard, jagged areas from ice pieces that did into your injury.

This was great for me and very practical. I first discovered it when I started physical therapy, used it there, and then bought the same one to use at home. The price is not cheap, but the convenience was worth it for my needs at the moment. It’s easy to clean, easy to store, and simple to put in the freezer before using. I would recommend it.

These are great cold packs for the neck, especially because the gel/clay used stays soft enough to mold around your neck, and maintains the cold for a good period of time. Just need put the pack in a pillowcase to "temper" the cold when you first take it out of the freezer. Note: it's important to keep the packs stored in the provided storage pack, or in a freezer zip lock, otherwise they pick up a "refrigerator smell" from the food in the freezer, and your neck will likewise pick up the smell. My one complaint, and reason for the 4 stars instead of 5, is that the seams on the cold packs inevitably split and the gel/mud starts leaking out. I've tried duct tape, etc., to repair the seams without success. Once the seams start splitting, the pack has to be thrown away. The company really needs to improve the strength of the seams to extend the lifespan of the packs. This has been the major weakness in this product for the entire time I've been using these packs (probably two decades). I've tried other brands of neck cold packs, but none match this brand in terms of comfort and effectiveness. I just wish they'd make the seams stronger. It's such a waste to have to throw them away.
