Excellent little machine. Very easy to assemble, although instructions are next to useless.has done a superb job on my lawns. I only used the Rake attachment and not the Scarifier. It has lifted and removed all the Moss and dead Thatch which is what I bought it for. As others have said. Collection bag is very small so I used machine without bag attached. Very impressed with this purchase.

Quite a useful machine. It saved a lot of hard work. The collection basket is simply not big enough. You can either stop and empty every couple of minutes or leave it off a pick up the scarified material by hand. Very effective at scarifying but not so much as a rake. I’m still pleased I bought it though. Very light and very little effort to use as it pulls itself along. Takes about ten minutes to assemble.

Excellent, sturdy machine which will hopefully last years, for the price of hiring a scarifier for 3 days (so will pay for itself many times over).Easy to put together and then scarified the (somewhat neglected) lawn with ease. One design feature that would improve this product would be a catch to hold the back flap open when your not using the hopper on the back. I held it open with a piece of string.

What a piece of equipmentThe lawn hasn’t been scarified in over 20 years, so I decided this was the time to bite the bullet and sort it out.Easy to assemble, easy to use and filled 2 ton bags with thatch.What a machine and hopefully the lawn will a lot better in a couple of weeks.For the price, this is ideal

Arrived promptly and well packed. Asembley was straightforward and, although quite lightweight, it seems pretty solid. Went to use it (using the raker not the scarifer) - It was simple to use and it certainly raked up the tatch in the grass very well indeed. The firsdt bit I tried I'd already raked by hand, but nevertheless it got out double the amount I'd managed by hand. I used that collection basket, which worked well, however it's very small . For the next section which I had not touched, I used it without the basket becuase otherise you'd have been stopping every 6-10 feet to empty it. It did a great job through this thicker stuff and the loose material was easy to rake up.In short I'm very pleased with this and pleased I did not go for a cheaper but lower powered machine. It's worth 5* but as I have not yet tried the scarifer (will the power be enough?) nor have I used it enough to see that the motor holds up over the long term, I've given it 4*.However it's off to a very good start!

I'm really impressed with this product! Having never touched my lawn since we moved into our house 12 years ago it had turned into a sea of dead moss so I thought I finally had to do something about it. Despite being a lightweight machine it's very powerful and scarified really well with just one pass. As all the other reviews note the collection bag is next to useless, but I think that's a common issue with all similar machines. Instead take the bag off its wire frame and still insert the frame as this keeps the back flap open ensuring that the scarifier still ejects the moss, if you don't and the flap's closed the machine clogs. So whilst you'll still have lots of raking up to do it takes almost all the hard work out of it. The biggest problem I've got is what to do with the two builders bags of dead matting it removed from my lawn!

Always wanted to purchase one of these, to save time and effort doing it manually. I must say this is the best buy this year and does such a good job. The box to catch the thatch is pretty useless as it fills up quick so I removed it and held up the flap with a bit of wood but did a great job

Product not as described as there is no function to allow for aeration . That’s not the first review to note this fact . As regards scarifying I found it worked well in my small garden . I tried settings at 3 & 4 and I found that was not really doing much . I ended up using setting 2 . The collection box requires emptying every 15 seconds or so . I tried without the box ( having tied up the back cover ) and as expected thatch came spewing out the rear , covering bottom of legs . I suppose you just need to play around with it to your own satisfaction . BUT remember it’s misrepresented in its advertising as it’s NOT an aerator . The company have yet to explain to me why this happened .
