This natural blonde rare Petoskey stone fossil was just swimming in Lake Michigan recently before I rescued it! This lightly marked Petoskey stone is naturally misshapen and a wonderful find! I top drilled a 2.1 mm hole into the stone and fitted it with a large bright baby blue aluminum jump ring to hang from a high quality stainless steel hypoallergenic 30 inch ball bead chain complete with USA stamped clam clasp. Threaded on the chain is striking swirly bead that has taupe, blue and silver colors. The stone measures 1 inch square-ish. Since the chain is high quality stainless steel, its clasp closure is secure and a bit stiffer than others, and is easily released with the pinch method, as shown in the last picture. This stone is natural as-found, surf-tumbled, and simply rubbed with oil to bring out its markings as you can also do.
