I chose this solar light because of its compact design. I liked the fact that it has a red light so looks like a security light. It was easy to fit & works nicely with the motion sensor.For me there are a few negatives - but I know these were only negatives for me & may be exactly what someone else is looking for. We had to position it in a different place than I'd originally intended as I hadn't thought about the solar pad needing to be in as full sun as possible while also having the motion sensor pointing in the right direction.I hadn't realised that a dim white light stays on during dark hours as well as the red light to look like a security light. For us that made the house more noticeable, but for many people it might be a positive so it's just something to be aware of.Overall I'm happy with this light - it makes negotiating a dark pathway a lot safer.

A nicely engineered led spotlight that looks the part and has good adjustment on the built-in mounting bracket. Obviously not nearly as bright as the halogen equivalent but much simpler to install. No wiring required. Although the beam is quite wide it is best used as a localised spotlight rather to floodlight an area. Has only ONE operating mode -- dimly on continuously, full brightness when movement detected. (Box label said 3 modes, product and manual said 1!) Bright-up on time not adjustable but will stay bright while movement is detected. Returned as needed a 3 mode light but a good buy if it fits your application.

I bought this as it looked as if I could adjust the angle between the light and the solar panel. You can't. I wanted it to be adjustable so that I could turn the panel to catch most sunlight whilst still pointing the light to where I wanted it. Also, It seems to operate on a 'dim' setting which brightens up when motion is detected. The 'dim' setting is unnecessary and just wastes the solar energy in winter months. I wanted the light to be totally off unless motion is detected.

Important -In the UK winter make sure its on a South facing wall. Mine is West and the charge runs down and it works sporadically in January. The unit light can only really be directed up/down direction. Side to side movement is very limited The solar cells are fixed and cannot be independently directed from the light and because there is not much side movement, the sun rays are always rather side on. Maybe in the summer it will work better but it is in the winter that the light is most needed. I cannot comment on the rechargeable batteries lifespan as it is too early since buying.The sensor works well and the light is bright. An improvement to the design allowing the solar cells to be positioned better and at the very least more flexibility in the side to side directing of the light is needed.

Not quite as bright as I expected but still does a great job of lighting my patio, I will probably buy another one to give more light.

Installed mid winter and it’s getting enough charge to work all through the night. The light is not blinding by any stretch of the imagination, but is more than sufficient to light your way and see your keys etc. It stays on for a pre-set 20 seconds after it stops sensing movement, which is more than enough

Provides enough light so I don’t trip in the dark.

Very pleased with unit, not mega bright but it's solar powered with a good enough LUX level of light all thanks to the sun!So please with first purchase have bought another 2The hardest part of the install is drilling the wall (I'm electrician by trade)
