Does this replace the hard wire kit so this parking mode kit records driving day to day as well as when its parked up detecting movement on the 55

The camera comes with a plug in wiring harness only, so the power comes via the cigarette lighter socket. The socket however is not usually live with ignition key out. This harness is wired to a constant live and ignition power supplies. When parked, if the vehicle is hit, it will automatically start to record for a few seconds. Whilst driving, the camera records as normal.

Can you turn the parking mode of as I hear it uses up memory card space and can drain your car battery?

This, and my Garmin 55 consumes 200mA when parked. If car is not used regularly, it will drain a battery in about 10 days. So only suitable for cars in regular use.

Will this work with the Garmin 57 Dashcam?

I don’t know but it looks similar to the one fitted about 3 years ago - hard wired in, and then you can toggle off and on on the dash cam. However, beware, can drain battery power if left on for days (24 hrs / day) without using car to charge battery. Suggest you also see other reviews on the subject too as this may have changed over the last couple of years.
