There is nothing on the box to help you with installation. The little sheet in the box warns you to turn off the power on the light's circuit. Thanks, I knew that. The actual instruction manual is online but nothing in the box tells you that. I found the manual because I want to know how to adjust the settings. What I got was an enigmatic sketch which did not tell me that the adjustment knob works in two different ways.

Bright light easy to install and easy to use

I ordered the "Lithonia Lighting BGS P2 SWW2 MVOLT PE DDB M2 Outdoor LED SWW Photocell Security Light" (quite the mouthful). Overall this was a great product.INSTALLATIONThis light was easy to install because there were only three wires to connect, a hot wire, a common wire and a ground wire. Another feature for easy install is the mounting end fits right on an existing pipe from the previous area light. This light also comes with a mount for surface installation with two lag bolts provided. One minor flaw is the set screws for pipe mounting needed their threads cleaned out so the set screws would travel all the way through to engage the pipe to secure the light.SETTINGSThe light has two adjustments one for brightness and another for duration of nighttime operation. The light seemed to be comparable in brightness to my previous light, which worked great.I was not disappointed by this product at all, it was exactly as I expected. Should I need another area light I would order this product again.

Okay first off I no zero about this type of stuff. I have a electrician that does these jobs for me. Right now we are installing a second EV Charger on the side of the house. I picked up this flood light to hang above the two chargers, flood light down to where we need them most light. I showed my electrician. He said it was a good flood light fixture, photocell. I can’t wait to see it installed and all that light flooding down. Will make charging at night easy. I’m going to put info from the listing to inform you better. UL Listed – High Quality Industrial Grade LED Security LightThis is a really high grade luminaire and it is energy efficient as a bonus. I really like the UL Listing to keep my home owner’s insurance valid and if I have to I can politely show the UL Listed & Labeled documentation to the AHJ inspector to pass electrical inspection. This is an area flood light type outdoor wall mount light fixture. The area flood light pattern is fixed as a great bright spread flood. It really should be mounted as high as possible. Do not mount at eye level. It only uses 45 watts of electric energy electric bill costs. I am happy to replace those wear-out-at-the-most-inconvenient-time 150 watt incandescent flood light bulb fixtures with this 45 watt LED fixture. I mounted it outside using using watertight flexible conduit running from a weatherproof junction box that has an added PIR sensor. The PIR sensor will abruptly turn on the light to catch, and hopefully frighten away, all the deer running around in my yard eating my wife’s roses and hostas. So, the PIR sensor will catch movement and turn on the light, but the Dusk-to-Dawn sensor will not allow it to turn on uselessly in the daylight.The only thing I don’t like is the fact that there was NO installation instruction sheet included in the package. To get specifications and installation instructions you must have a cell telephone with QR scanner to scan the QR image on the listing label.There is a removable “diffuser ring” if you want to change the light pattern. You can also select the light color using a switch on the outside of the fixture.There are many typographical errors in the website product description

While not being clear that this light requires wiring to install, you can do a pigtail, or straight wire installation. It has a photocell that responds exactly as expected. It is not as bright as expected, but after seeing how few LEDs are present just around the outside circle of the unit, it is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be after opening. This light is perfect as a simple "barn" style light to go along a driveway or over a garage door.

This is a very well made piece of lighting equipment. Heavy enough to dissipate the heat generated by the LED system, yet very easy to mount. The amount of illumination provided is great. Overall I am very, very happy with this light. I used this to replace a light from the power company, and it is saving me a lot of money.

It was pretty to install, although i was just replacing an old motion detector light, so I didn't have any wire issues. with that It isn't very heavy so mounting it wasn't a problem. Whenever I start a project something always and I end up working in the dark. Not a problem any more. It is very bright and does cast shadows if your working right under the light. It was really worth putting up. If your using it for security add a good motion detector to it. Crooks don't like stealing under a light that go "on and off" and gets attention.
