Excellent small dictionary. Ideal for a beginner (like me). Very good value for money. Includes useful grammar sections.

Good for an Arabic learner like me in that it ...
Gives English-Arabic and Arabic-English. Good for an Arabic learner like me in that it makes perfectly clear such differences as first in time, first in a race, first in a series etc, and explains the 2 categories of Arabic verbs, ground form and derived etc. Published 2010. Don't presume to know how good it would be for an Arabic speaker learning English.

Love love love it
Really handy decent size not too big. I really like that it has an English to Arabic & Arabic to English translation. I’m using it to learn Arabic for my class and so far it’s quite helpful. Feel free to look through the images I attached :)

Excellent for beginners
Pros: easy to use for english speakers new to arabic, easy to read fonts, small and easy to carry around. More than sufficient for a new learner. Con: due to small nature it doesn’t have the wide range of vocabulary that more advanced speakers would require

reputed to be one of the best
it has no transliterations, something I have subsequently brought up with the author/compiler directly but to be fair I knew this in advance of my purchase as I had read several of the reviews which mentioned this. As a beginner/learner I would have found this helpful/useful but appreciate why Dr Jabari deliberately, as a purist, did not choose to compile his dictionary this way. Am very very happy to have this dictionary and recommend it absolutely.
