Used without being heavy handed, they work and are good. Not super robust but worth the cost.Use full leave teas or herbs is what they excel at. There will always be little particles that get through the mesh but not a lot - just don’t drain the dregs at the bottom of the cup.Using (cheaper) smaller leaf teas etc might have more tea dust. More bits left. But again, don’t need to drink those down. And if they are mixed in the milk, would you notice ?

Not really big enough for me I wanted them to use with my herbal tea which has big bits in usually one serving of my tea will make 3-4 cups as suggested on its packet but when put in these I only get one good cup and then a weaker one so I don't think they are big enough to allow the water to move through the leaves and get the goodness out and quite tricky to fill as well but I'm sure with regular tea leaves they would be fine

They r very delicate so need to take care. To open and close is easy. Arrived in good condition. Will use it for infusion of tea leaves .spices etc

Used it the first time with whole leaf oolong, flavour extraction was fine but some bits were falling out as the seal is not tight at all, second time i used i used sencha, this time it was even worse as leaf shards and fine were leaking extremely easily, cleaning it was a pain as leaves kept getting stuck in grooves. Extraction felt worse as the leaves expand and become too tightly packed, but if you put in less there just isnt enough leaf to have decent tea. After washing one of the balls wouldnt even close at all, making it completely useless. Oh and overall build quality is also awful.

Upon my switch to loose tea, away from coffee and bagged tea, I have dipped into the world of tea strainers only a few times.These mesh ball style ones are easy to clean, use and are very compact for travelling! I now have one on my desk at work and at home in daily use.They're well built, easily maintaining their structure and mesh for a few months now. They barely stain and have only darkened a little.
