Hilariously fun game!
We got this game for "dinner party" entertainment. Our daughter, who is 10, was desperate to play, having read the outside of the bucket, so we simply screened her cards and took a slightly more PG version of our own stories removing unsuitable cards etc (out of the 70 scenarios in our box only 14 were unsuitable for our daughter). It was absolutely hilarious!! Nothing was lost in doing this and everyone LOVED the game! In fact one card that caused us to cry with laughter was, the scenario 'You are driving a bus and you receive a text to say if you fall below 60MPH the bus will explode' her useless object card "A Flashers Mac" (our screening missed this one clearly!) She assumed it was something to do with a Mac Computer and said she would use it to "hack" the bomb to defuse it ... we were in stitches. You find with many games that the 'brilliant' cards few and far between, but with this each one is fantastic, and because each scenario and useless object combination is always different and played by a different person each time it won't be a game that gets boring quickly. Once our daughter had left the table we continued to play and of course the tone became less PG, we found ourselves utilising multiple object cards in the same scenario to "up the ante" the effect was hilarious. I am going to look for more from Big Potato now! This is genuinely brilliant fun.

Very English-oriented fun party game
I bought this as a gift for my husband and we played it at a party with some American family. We all really enjoyed it, and everybody had their own playing style. Upsides are that there are very few rules, so it’s simple to play - we added our own rules for tiebreakers, and upper time limit on each go (some people made up very lengthy stories). The downsides were that we had to explain a lot of English references like marmite and milk floats, also that we ran through all of the cards very quickly and there’s no expansion set. Overall fun and easy to play.

Brilliant group game
Brought this game on a whim and we have been in hysterics playing it. Played with people aged 20- 67 and all loved it. Quality of cards great and the bucket is great but not the best for travelling. Easy to follow instructions. Good value for money

OK but beware for ADULTS only
Not a bad game and very funny in parts the one thing is the whole advert on amazon is not clear enough that it is an ADULT game. We bought two - one for us and one for our godsons who are 12 and 10. Luckily we played it first with some older teenagers. The other one is duly being sent back!

Fun party game with some adult themes
I bought this so we could have some fun during a family gathering. The premise of the game is quite simple, there are cards that contain story telling challenges and each person has to invent a story containing the objects and scenario listed on the cards. The game is billed as a "black comedy" and it is certainly that. Some of the scenarios are very weird indeed and it requires some considerable imagination to come up with the best escape plan for example if you are on a plane full of snakes and you have a level 10 Thetan Scientology badge and a scarf knitted by your nan to help you escape. Some of the scenarios and objects are quite adult themed and it is not appropriate to mention them here. When I played this with my grown up son and daughters with their partners they were cringing at some of the tasks and, although we had fun, some of them are probably best for non-family situations.

Good fun - thinking out of the box - even people who say they are not creative do well at this.
Good game - played it with a couple of different groups so far - with practice I think we will be moving to using more than one card to generate the escape story to ensure more opportunity for creativity and more diversity. Good fun. The game puts everyone into a situation where death is imminent and each player has their own set of 8 items to choose from to devise their escape plan. Each player selects their items and explains how they use it to escape. At the end of the round people vote on the best story, first person to 3 wins take the game.

Pretty funny game
Played this with a group of people at Christmas with ages ranging from 17 to 83. You need to be up for a laugh and be prepared for some quick thinking, but once everyone got the hang of it we had a lot of fun with it. Yes there are adult cards in here, I hadn't looked though them that closely to be fair and wasn't expecting some of them, but they just added to the amusement in the long run. Not a game you can play all night really either. We had a few rounds and increased the number of cards we used each time to add to the difficulty and as long as your gang is up for it, there are some hilarious responses that can be had. Some people wont appreciate it, but if you have a sense of humour and some imagination, it's definitely good for the laughs!

Recommended for 3+ players and ages 17+
Bought as a Christmas present, for a family that are mad about games. Unfortunately I cannot open it to photograph, or go through how it’s played, as it has a non tampering seal on it. The bucket is made of a thick plastic, and the lid is a standard lid with a pull off security seal. Recommended for 3+ players and ages 17+, so not for children. Bucket of Doom is an escape room type adult party game, full of crazy and unusual scenarios for you to try out. It looks and sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun this Christmas.

This game is really fun. I would suggest playing this around people that have a fun sense of humor. My supervisor bought it for a team building years ago at a store not reading the rules. She did not realize the 18+ type of humor it has. We started playing and HR just shut her door to not get us in trouble. It was so much fun that I had to buy it for game nights at my house. It is really fun to play with people who have an imagination. This is a must have for game night.
