Plasti-kote 25000 400ml Primer - White

Excellent product but the final colour when dried is off white, slightly yellow in fact

It's a good primer and it's easy to work with it, but colour isn't really white - more like cream/yellowish. Still it is a primer, so over-paint with right shade of white would be easy. It can even be helpful - you will see which areas you already painted.

I think this is probably the best spray paint unless someone can let me know of a better one. This primer covers anything, good adhesion to almost everything. Used this batch to change the colour on a big picture frame which was gold but wife wants it white. The spray gets into all the crevices and covers the cracks and blemishes ready for top coat of Plasti-kote white matt spray. Brilliant, I use it every time and expect good results, never lets me down. Recommended.

After deciding to upcycle an old dressing table I am so happy I bought this product. It applied quickly and smoothly over my solid wood but veneered furniture to the extent that I gave my 10 year old sister my mask and let her have a go. It was touch dry within half an hour, and I felt comfortable moving the drawers back into the body after an hour. Didn't flake or bubble and I used on coat of primer and one coat of the Matt white (which despite some reviews DID dry completely white, not grey) just ordered some more for the body. Very happy :)

I used this paint to prime a few MDF boards, the primer provided even, solid coats and did not sink in like a few other primers I have tried. The can was easy to use, the nozzle didn't get blocked once during application and after quite a few uses there still seems to plenty of life left in the can. The only downside I have found is the paint does take a while to dry, although the improvement I have seen in my work more than makes up for this. This will definitely be my go to primer from now on!

This primer and the satin topcoat by the same manufacturer are quality paints. The cans spray evenly with the occasional shake of the can. I used them in the garden to paint a new pine bannister. The primer was dry in less than 30 minutes despite the outside temperature being only slightly above freezing. The satin spray took a little longer but was dry to the touch inside an hour. All done and fitted on the staircase inside a cold day! I will use these sprays again; just ordered the same in black. Highly recommended.

This did a great job of priming over the top of scruffy old mahogany-effect laminate so it could be repainted (yellow in this case).You have to be careful to cover the whole area as it comes out thin if you don't keep the can moving but a couple of coats sorts this out. This would now be my go to primer for this kind of work.
