They seem more citrusy and lack the actual flavor of the Pastel the color represents. It is not on all the orders I have placed, just a couple, this being one. I’ll still order them because I grew up eating them as a child and I love them, it’s just there a hit and a miss.

I’ve been consuming these since about 1961 and they have never failed to please. Same great consistency and flavor. Worth the spend if you like fruit gums.

First, I am a fan of chewy gummy fruit candies. These pastilles had some rave reviews, but I found them to be only okay. The very first one I tried was kind of pale green and had a strong Sulphur flavor with the fruit. I guessed lime, but it is not, because dark green is certainly lime. All the citrus flavors use strong peel oils to strengthen the flavors. I am not a fan of strong citrus peel oils, they kind of burn my tongue and leave my teeth funky. The berry flavors are good, however I think ALL a the flavors would benefit from a reduction of the acid, as the ”sour” is out of balance. I will eat them, but I won’t order them again. Based on many reviews, these are supposed to be the best. I am glad I did not try the “off-brand”. Who knows what those must be like???
