Happy purchase
Just gifted this to my 7-year old niece and it was a total hit. She and her brother were fighting over the iPad and played for hours and hours!They loved the joystick and the path coding - which are easy ways to get started. I bought an extra rechargeable battery

Wow, my niece wouldn’t let this go - and only got as far as remote controlling her doll.A software update took a short time on first start, then the odd break in the link after.Apart from that everything seemed great, especially the reaction - maybe favourite present!Would definitely recommend the battery pack (sold separate) as the square 9V lasted just a few hours and the cover is screwed shut.The oiwer pack replaces battery and cover, and you’re left with a USB for charging.

Outstanding product!Probaly one of the best toys I've ever bought for my children. It is both a tool to make education fun and approcable and the same time just an amazing toy.I will definitely reccomend Smartgurlz to anyone who has children. If they're already interested in technology it will only expand their curiosity.

Highly recommended
My daughter and son loved playing with this robot doll, they learnt coding and map reading. Highly recommend. Happy to see them play alone for hours

After the update it worked better.
I had to return this item as the phone app did not have the full functionality as advertised.I also observed software update wasn't smooth, i..e I had to try multiple times before I was finally update the Doll software.Controlling the doll on the first few attempts wasn't very smooth and that connection used to drop off. After the update it worked better.
