Great Replacement Regulator for a Devilbiss Pro 4000 Compressor
A friend was cleaning out his work shop in preparation for a move and gave me his old air compressor. Unfortunately, the air regulator had been removed for one of his projects, and he had just plumbed the air hose directly into the air pipe running from the tank up to the power/safety switch assy. This replacement regulator is doing exactly what it says it does; provide the ability to check both tank and regulated pressure. In addition, the regulation adjustment is very smooth and precise. One small disclaimer. My compressor didn't have the little plastic shroud that usually covers the regulator and gauges, so I can't comment on how well it would have fit. I can tell you that the compressor does seem to work as well as it should have when it was new.

Good Unit for the Price
Slightly larger knob length than the original Craftsman regulator I replaced on my compressor, but fit just fine, with just enough tank clearance to thread into position. The instructions provided are not accurate and are a terrible translation of part callouts by whoever did them. They mislabel the tank and regulator gauge ports, they are backwards, but still works fine.... just beware when you install your gauges. I use a very accurate gauge on the regulator side so I get the exact pressure I need for my tools day in and day out, so it makes a difference when the instructions are wrong.

Good replacment for Craftsman compressor, instructions are wrong
Bought this when the regulator on my Craftsman 919.167241 15 gallon compressor failed. Fortunately, another reviewer asked about that same model, and it fits and works perfectly. Need to fix the instruction sheet though, it was backward on the diagram for which port was the regulated pressure gauge and which was the tank pressure gauge. Pretty easy to figure out which is which by blowing through the inlet with the regulator set to minimum, but the diagram is wrong.

Took a chance
I needed a new regulator for an old Craftsman air compressor. This looked like the old one from the pictures. My model number was not listed in the ad, but I took a chance and ordered it anyway. It was exactly like the old regulator. It works perfectly.

Good replacement
Good universal replacement for a 25 year old Craftsman 4hp 25 gallon compressor. Would recommend.

Works good!
Fixed my old Delra compressor. Regulator is just like the original and is working as expected.

Great replacement
My compressor is 35 years old. The old regulator leaked and would not allow pressure above 80 psi. I bought this as a direct replacement because the manufacture no longer makes this part. There was a need to alter the plumbing by adding a 90 degree coupler to allow room to install the regulator without having to disassemble it. This was easy to do. Some reviewers said the regulator gauge did not work independently from the tank pressure gauge. I did not find that to be true. The gauges work independently and the same as the original regulator (see photos). I reinstalled the cover backwards to try to protect the outlet now that it exits the side rather than under the handle.

This is made for the older craftsman compressors
This one works with craftsman compressor. Regulator and tank pressure. The only one I found. Get some new gauges while putting this on.Edited: the only reason I want to change my gauges was because the glass on front was scuffed up so bad I could not read the pressure. You can only find the regulator gauge, it is list here on amazon for 16 dollars but you cannot find the tank pressure regulator gauge. But hold on,,, with new gauges installed the arrows point up and down, it does not make a difference because it works but but to make it proper just knock the front glass off the new gauges and put them on the old gauges and it will work perfectly.
