A Superb HUD for your car!!!
This is a superb piece of kit! However, I experienced some of the same issues as other reviewers:1. I didn't want a large piece of film on my front window - It didn't look nice from the outside.2. My dashboard is oddly shaped making it difficult to get in the perfect spot.3. I found it difficult to see in the daytime without the sticker. So I also purchased this:https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01LX2XO5R/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Which has made this thing Superb - With a capital S!!!Also, I didn't like the RPM and 100/L display so I busted out the black tape and have hidden these - I also had to tweak some of the settings to match my speedo (even though this HUD is probably more accurate than the speedo itself). My only real criticism of this HUD is that the brightness settings of 1 = Too DIM and 2 = Too Bright is a bit of a pain and I'm not sure the 'Auto' is working correctly but a 1.5 setting would be perfect.

data display is acceptable but the format is bad. I will not use it
Awful product. The cable is extremely short even for small cars, data projection lags / delays, data display is acceptable but the format is bad. I will not use it, "money for nothing"

Accurate, easy to install - looks like a computer game. Don't like the transparent card I have to stick to the windscreen though
This is an incredibly clever device. I bought a new car recently and had a choice between a Jag, which had a heads up display in it, and an Audi which didn't. For various reasons I chose the Audi, but the heads up display in the Jag was very cool. I thought by getting this, I'd get the same experience - but its not. It's better and worse for reasons I'll go into. I will also mention, that different cars will offer a different experience. This just doesn't work very well with my car. There are many good points. It's incredibly easy to set up. My OBD port is to the right of my steering wheel close to the footwell. The device plugs in easily and the position makes it very easy to push the flat wire into the trim, tracing around the dashboard until it gets to where I want to place the device. This is where the first problem occurs. Due to the shape of my dashboard, the device has to be placed quite high up which make the image almost directly in the line of sight. The Jag I nearly bought, the heads up display was green only and it was a little bit more in the distance. This one, being full colour and appearing much closer to the windscreen feels quite distracting and I found it difficult not to keep focusing on it - I didn't have that problem with the green only one I had, which was lower in the windscreen and a bit more distant in the Jag. With different cars, this may be different and you may be able to position it lower. Before I go onto the really good parts, I will talk about what in my mind is the biggest issue. When its first installed you get a double vision type of issue - like the display is overlapped slightly. The instruction manual says, in quite poor English, that this can occur if your screen is double - not sure what this means, but it definitely does occur. However, they have solved it. They include a transparent but reflective card that you attach to your windscreen in the exact position where the display shines. This is quite difficult to get into the exact place and you may need two people as where the display shines onto your screen when your leaning forward to install it, appears differently than when you're sitting back in your seat. Plus of course, if your partner also drives the car, and their seat position is different, this will affect whether they can see the display properly.Once installed, the card looks awful as you can see from the pictures. From the outside, it actually looks like I've stuck a white card onto my windscreen. Doesn't really blend into my nice new car. From the inside, it doesn't quite look as bad, but still isn't great. For me these issues are a game changer and its not something I really want installed in my car. If your windscreen isn't "double" (what ever that means - maybe its double glazed) then apparently you won't get the issue of the double vision and won't need the card. If your car doesn't need the card, plus you can position it lower in the windscreen, I would rate this 4 or 5 stars. But for me and my car, its not great. So, onto the good. It really is clever. I put my centre display in the mode that shows digital speed and the speed shown on the display matches it exactly. When I was testing mine, I had it set up to show Speed, Driving Time and Water Temperature, however this can be configured with the rocker switch to show many other measurements such as voltage, engine fault codes and lots more. They're all described in the instruction manual. It's very configurable. If you don't have an OBD port, you can put the device into GPS mode where it will show a subset of the available measurements and obtain things like speed via GPS.The display is bright and sharp when using the card and almost looks like a playstation game.It also comes with a slightly sticky, non slip mat that you can attach to the dashboard and remove without it damaging the dashboard. This is perfect to fix the device to the car and certainly in my tests, it didn't move at all. I have probably done about 50-60 miles with it so far and no issues. In summary, depending on your car, this could be a fantastic device. It's detailed, accurate and very configurable. For me though, the positioning and need for the transparent card means its not for me.

A word of warning...
Firstly contrary to what some of the other recent reviewers say on this page about this product I must warn you without physically sticking the reflective film supplied to the windscreen of your car (the film creates a reflective surface for the HUD to display clearly on) this product becomes un-useable as you get a double image if you choose to project straight onto a modern cars double layered windscreen. I was totally confused to find a YouTube review of this product where the guy comments about choosing not to use the film supplied because it worked for him but you can clearly see in the driving footage that the HUDs displaying a double image on the screen while he's driving!?...baffling and misleading.Apart from the nesesity of using the film this product works very well apart from possible issues with cable management depending where your OBD port is located in your car and the instructions being fiddly.

A cool gadget that makes your car feel like its in a computer game
I always liked the idea of a HUD in my car but was always a little put off by the fact its more a night time thing. My car is a ford mondeo 2011 and this plugs into the OBD socket which is just to the side of the steering wheel. It isn't really ok to have it fitted all the time but that is purely down to my cars OBD location. On other cars it may well be absolutely fine if your OBD socket is away from the steering wheel area.It functions really great though, I got the speed and distance travelled displaying really nicely on my windscreen which was just like a racing game on the computer. It displays clearly on the windscreen in a larger enough display to easily and conveniently use.The HUD display comes with a sticky pad for your dash as well as a sheet to stick to your windscreen for the display to reflect onto. You do need to put the sheet on the windscreen as it weirdly focuses it so you don't get any ghosting. There is however one thing that is a bit annoying but maybe its just me. the cable that goes from the OBD device to the screen feels like it plugs in the wrong way round. By this I mean that it plugs in on the side that faces the windscreen.I do like this but don't think for me personally it is something I will use all the time. Maybe for track days or something like that.
