Great for the price
For the price, the amplifier works really well. It is light to wear, easy to use and the battery life is excellent. The quality of the sound is quite good for the price. Obviously, it won't be great for listeners over an extended time - for hours, but it works really well when you need a boost and don't want to wreck your voice. I bought it to take group photos at a wedding and it did the trick. I've also used it for about 20-30 mins a day, 5 times a week for 10 weeks, and I've yet to re-charge it.

Good buy
I bought this for my elderly mother on the recommendation of a speech therapist. I found it easy to use and she has also got to grips with it fairly easily. It amplifies her voice enough so she can be heard by the care staff, who have also said it is easy for them to use and delivers what they wanted from it. It does more than she will need it for - like amplifying music - but I can't comment on how effective this is. From my testing of it I found it good in a smallish room but can't comment on how good it would be in a large room. Overall very satisfied with it for the purposes for which I bought it.

Portable volume
Excellent gadget that enables voice to be heard without staring it whether outdoors or indoors.Very best and handy strap, with simple controls.I’m not a fan of head band mike and would prefer a clip on mike but that is just a personal preference. The mike is perfect for hands free and amplifying voice whether you turn your head or not.Excellent buy.

Really Great!
I brought these as I run children's events and my entertainers have to shout to be heard, radio mics were not suitable as the set up took too much time but these amps were brilliant. They have good sound and are super easy to use and provide enough sound so that the performers can be heard over all the children and adults without having to shout or strain. The battery life is great. My only feedback would be that I would have liked the option for a neutral coloured mic instead of black as they would have been better for my use, however I still extremley happy with the purchase and intend on buying more, thanks!

Temperamental but a cheap-ish answer to people struggling to hear at a large indoor meeting
Bought to amplify speaker at a local WI. Takes some getting used to as it's super sensitive to jewellery and anything like a piece of paper being held too close. It makes the worst squawking noise-feedback that goes right through you and it happens at random moments. You're standing still hardly daring to breath thinking you've cracked the perfect position to give your talk from and then squawk! You feel like you're about to run an aerobics class when you put it on! The strap is quite useless as too short for anyone to wear but the belt clip works well.Microphone is nicely adjustable but again sensitive so getting it in the right position is tricky-too close and every breath or pronouncing certain syllables makes you sound out of breath but too far and it doesn't pick up everything. All in all with a bit of practice this was a good purchase to solve a problem with a large hall and people struggling to hear but if you can afford it, probably best to buy a better piece of kit! That said it charged up rather fast, you can plug it into a computer or use an adapter (not supplied) and plug it into the mains.A mixed review for a product that is helpful but also a real nuisance!

Do not underestimate the power of the Dark Amplifier.
I was looking for a voice amplifier for a very specific purpose - to use with my Darth Vader outfit in order to amplify the sinister voice of the Dark Lord especially in outdoors in public places. The small mike unit fits perfectly over my head and under my Vader helmet with the small and slim black amplifier unobtrusively clipped to my belt and blending nicely with the dark suit and robes. An added benefit is that the mike sits nicely in front of my mouth and between the fitted Vader breathing unit attached to the interior of Darth's mask. Thus not only is my voice amplified but also the distinctive and menacing respiratorial sounds which are so much a part of the character. The amplification is clear and perfect and adds a realistic touch to the illusion. I also tried the unit outwith the costume and it's perfect for addressing a group of people without raising and straining your voice. This unit also functions as a music player so you can entertain yourself and others when not speaking. If you're looking for a small, discreet low cost voice amplifier then this is a great choice.

Waste of money
Couldn't use it. By the time an adaptor for my microphone arrived that didn't work. Then bought a new microphone. That didn't work either it was too late to return. Dreadful crackling from the microphone socket. And my real voice was louder naturally than using this. A total waste of money. I have since spent £65 on a different amplifier that is tons better. Avoid this one it's useless. You might as well keep shouting and spend your £30 on sore throat medication.

Not the worst but not the best
The feed back from the speaker means you have to have the speaker behind u. And as it’s not of the greatest quality the sound can get lost. Is ok for a very small room but not for anything bigger than an average sized classroom room.
