My hair is thick and it made it very easy to comb through it after I take my hair out of braids. It also work for my cousin and now she has one too

My wife's unruly curly hair was no match for these brushes. They effortlessly worked through the tangles without causing discomfort. The brushes were comfortable to hold, making the detangling process a breeze.Despite the overall positive experience, my wife noticed that one of the brushes felt flimsy. It lacked the sturdiness she expected, which made her doubt its durability over time. Additionally, the grip on one of the brushes tended to slide off too easily during use, making it somewhat frustrating to maintain a firm hold.While the brushes did an adequate job with detangling, my wife couldn't help but feel that they didn't live up to their claim of being suitable for her hair type. The brushes seemed better suited for fine or straight hair rather than unruly curls.This set of hair brushes and a comb has its strengths, especially in terms of detangling efficiency and comfortable handling. They are likely to work well for individuals with fine or straight hair. However, my wife's experience revealed some drawbacks that may impact those with thicker, curly hair. The flimsy brush and slippery grip were definite design flaws, and the brushes didn't deliver the stout performance she anticipated for her specific hair type.In conclusion, while these hair tools have potential, they may not be the best match for everyone, particularly those with unruly curly hair, that being said though she did still rate them at 4 out of 5 stars. If you have a different hair type and are looking for a gentle and efficient detangling experience, these brushes and comb might be worth considering. However, for those with thick or curly hair, it may be wise to explore other options better suited to your specific needs.

I saw this brush as a dupe for a more expensive detangling brush and it works awesome. I have very thick hair that is a tangled mess after showering and this powers right on through.

I'm a white woman and have long 2C/3A medium density, thick, high porosity hair.Detangling brush: Where has this been all my life? I use it in the shower to detangle my hair before I wash the conditioner out, and it feels like mermaid silk. I tried it without the stabilizer bar and with it, and I prefer to have it there. It helps get more hair into the brush with each pass. 5 stars.Comb: Meh. I prefer the wide tooth comb I had already, with thinner teeth. This may work better for tighter curl patterns than mine. 3ish stars for my purposes.Denman-style brush: as far as I can tell, the only thing that differentiates this from a real Denman brand brush is that the handle is wider. I've seen some tutorials about the option to use the handle when creating the ringlets that I guess this may not work as well with because of the wider handle, but otherwise I think it's indistinguishable. You can remove the rows of teeth if you want fewer than 9. I'm still getting the hang of the technique, but it does create defined ringlets just like a Denman. 5 stars.Overall, definitely worth the price!
