Not being in the habit of writing reviews, I thought, I must do so for this watch - What a pleasant surprise on unpacking the watch (well protected for transit)I must say for just under £12 I consider myself to have quite a bargain. The watch looks quite smart and seems to be well built. I have had the watch for just over a week now and I am pleased with the time keeping etc (I have an Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11 45th Anniversary Limited edition and it matches the time keeping of the Omega (However the Omega cost me £3500 back in 2009!!!)If I have to provide some constructive criticism it would be1. It is very difficult to remove the link pins to shorten the watch band- however in the end I managed it.2. It can be quite difficult to see the hour,minute and seconds fingers they have a tendancy to blend in with skeleton face of the watch.3. Not quite sure whether its designation Auto Wind up or whether it should be wound up - instructions not at all clear in this respect, however you can see the winding pendulum through the back window.So to sum up I am highly delighted with the watch, it certainly looks well as a dress watch, had a number of comments already - talking point for sure. and for £12 you really can not go wrong it would seem.Would I recommend, I would have no hesitation in recommending this watch,

I am a big watch lover. Over the years, I've been lucky enough to collect a handful of beautiful swiss-made timepieces. I've now started to buy and review some of the most popular, most affordable (under £20) watches on Amazon.I'd like to share with you my personal thoughts on the 'ESS Men's Black Bezel Skeleton Dial Stainless Steel Self-Wind Up Mechanical Automatic Watch WM257'. Spoiler: this watch is surprisingly well-made.DELIVERYExcellent. The watch was delivered within 24h via Amazon Prime.PACKAGINGGood. The box and its content arrived in perfect condition. It's a rather pretty box which makes it perfect as a present.CONTENTIn the box, you will only find the watch, nicely wrapped-up and secure, and a minimalistic instructions leaflet. There was no removable protective plastic layers on the face and the back of the watch, but the deployment clasp and most of the metal strap were protected.The instructions, illustrated with three different watch models and not this watch, explain how to use a MECHANICAL watch.DESIGNFor the price, the design it truly outstanding. The watch and the strap are both made of metal, the body is reassuringly thick, the back is transparent. You will find two buttons on the right handside of the watch ('sadly', they are just here for decoration) and the crown to set the time and wind the watch.The skeleton face looks beautiful and as expected shows off the inside of the watch. Everything is for show only: the tachymeter and the 'sport', 'winner' and 'automatic' mentions.Now, about the metal strap: 1. It's comfortable, 2. the deployment clasp is a welcome addition at that price, 3. I had to adjust it as it was too large for my wrist.But even though I have small-ish wrists, the watch doesn't look too big on me whether I'm wearing a t-shirt or a collar shirt. It looks smart, perfect with a suit.FEATURES- time (that's pretty much it)- skeleton face- transparent backCONCLUSIONFor £12, the built quality and the overall look and feel of this watch are truly outstanding. The skeleton face looks smart and it's comfortable to wear. I asked my wife to guess the price of the watch: she was convinced it'd cost £50 at the very least.It will complement your work attire very well. It'll also make for an excellent present for a family member or a friend. Buy it, you won't regret it!-I hope you will find my review and my photo coverage helpful-PS: a note of WARNING: I believe this is not an automatic watch as advertised. It's a bit misleading. As a consequence, you will have to wind it manually on daily basis. This is normal and it shouldn't refrain you from buying it. For the price, it's a real steal.This watch deserves a 5-star ratings, but I had to remove a star due to the ambiguous claim about the automatic movement.

No complaints about Amazon at all. The watch however, although it looks as good as the photo, needs to be constantly worn or it stops after a couple of hours The outside buttons are fake. It comes ready to fit the largest wrist possible but no instructions how to take out a link. I personally found how to do this by trial and error, no the best approach for a nice watch. If you are used to removing watch links it will be OK. All in all for £12 it is worth the money.

Still going strong 6 Years later! . I purchased this watch for the bargain price of £11.00 back in 2015. The outer printed dial has worn away , however still looks stunning. A lot of people have commented on how expensive it looks and how well made it is. The watch did stop working about a month ago. I used a tiny bit of wd40 as a lubricant and it started working perfectly again. The strap is top quality . You will need to get a watch repairer to shorten it at a small cost. For just under £20 you will be hard pushed to find a better timepiece. The glass is very resilient and no scratches still to this day. I’ve dropped and knocked the watch many times over the past six years with no damage to the casing. You could spend £200 and not notice the difference.

very good watch came in its own little box a bit bashed but watch was in perfect condition, the glow in the dark hands are very weak but is still there and the fact you don't need batteries is a life saver. I bought this watch for a cheap watch while in work that I can bash around and what I got was a decent watch for an amazing price and now I have to buy a cheap watch for work now as this watch is high quality. I got this for next day delivery and as it said it turned up the next day would recommend this to anyone. I am very fussy with watches they have to be silent and this one matches the criteria so happy with this product

Looks stylish and great price but the watch simply does not work properly. One thing you need to be clear on is that if you do not wear the watch, it will stop working and slow down - this part is simple and evident from the other reviews. This is fine as a lot of watches work this way and it saves having a battery.However ... the problem that I have encountered is that I wear the watch all day but it works too fast and the time jumps ahead. You can clearly see the seconds hand moving round too fast.This makes the watch useless because the time is never right. I have to carry something else to double-check the time which makes this watch pretty pointless. I would advise paying a bit more and investing in something more reliable. Unless, you want a watch that looks good even though it doesn't work properly.
