Fun educational blocks
My 2 yr old loves these blocks. They are used on her light table, for stacking, shaking with different sounds with the beads. She also loves looking through them. Also good for learning colours and shapes.Handy they can be snacked into the box so all together but can still be seen.Great blocks with lots to learn

Recommended for 12+ months, lovely toy
I bought this having seen it in the baby room of the nursery. Yes, the box states 24+ months but I would wonder how engaged an older toddler would be with it, so bought it for my niece's first birthday. She loves exploring all the different noises that the blocks make, and the fact they all tidy into their own wooden frame is a bonus. As she grows older, there's going to be good potential for language acquisition around noise and rhythm as each of the shakers makes a unique sound, owing to the difference in size and number of balls within. It ranges from a very noisy single hard wooden ball which makes a short, sharp knocking sound, to a gentle shhhhh noise made by tiny beads when rolled. When not in use it sits happily on a sunny windowsill where it casts beautiful coloured light. There's potential for shape and colour recognition, too. As with all little ones, my niece seems to prefer any shaker being used by anyone else, so it's helping the introduction to the world of sharing. :) It seems nicely made- the wooden edges are smooth - and so far it's been subject to a lot of banging on various surfaces including a wooden floor. As with all things comprised of small parts, supervised play is the thing, but there's been no sign of any damage after 4 months. It makes an excellent alternative to plastic, electronic toys which seem to be so prevalent.

Elegant and sophisticated learning tool
Have bought this product twice for different people, 5 years apart. Can safely say that the quality has remained good.The box is sturdy but is more a storage frame (it does not have a front or back). This means that without support, the smaller blocks can fall out of the side unless filled correctly (not a problem).The lid is connected with elastic straps as the hinge, which will snap the lid shut (satisfying but potentially shocking if unexpected).The blocks are made from coloured plastic and contain a variety of beads and similar noise-makers giving each block a different rattle. These plastic boxes are then covered with wooden panels on 4 sides, giving you the ability to see through the block in one dimension.Great for fun, or for teaching colours, shapes, noises, hand-eye coordination etc.These look good in the home, with a simple and sophisticated design that will suit any household.Box says 24+ but I really can't see why a 1yr old can't use them too. Our presents both went to 1yr old children and were used well from day one.No problems, no reason to not vote 5*. Great product.

A mutli-sensory delight.
Each block sounds different, they are brightly coloured and look beautiful when they catch the light.My nephew will enjoy exploring the different shapes and making as much noise as he can!

Lovely to feel and see but not very sturdy - easily fixable though
Product arrived and 14 month son loved it. Rattled each box and is enjoying exploring them.The wood is really pleasant to touch and the edges are smooth. The wooden box it comes in is lovely although not exactly as pictured as the lower edge does not have a groove like the sides. It does not make much difference to play though, except that maybe it is a little bit harder to fit the lower tier with two boxes, as the objects can move more easily.My son piled the figure one on top of the other on the coffee table. One of the smaller squares fell off the coffee table and the wood came apart on Christmas morning. I ended with a wood L shape and a wood L shape with a the colored box attached to it. Closer inspection makes me think they just did not put enough glue on that particular corner. It is however easily fixable with some extra glue.It gave me a chance to see how the thing is constructed. The plastic square inside seem quite solid and thick, so not too concerned about it breaking. It is true that the darker colored boxes are not as transparent as on the picture, but I suspect that is because the plastic is now thicker and sturdier. They still reflect some lovely colors on to the table from the light in the window that totally mesmerizes my son. The wooden cylinders are unlikely to come apart because of how they are designed. I guess the wooden squares and rectangles are more likely to come apart especially if on impact they happen to fall on the corner. Have tried to pull the others apart but they seem solid.It is still a lovely toy. It would have been great if it had not come apart so quickly, but I am yet to see a toy that is break proof to the bashing of an active inquisitive toddler and at least this one is an easy one to fix.Would buy it again for a friend with kids, but maybe give it a couple of tugs on the corners before handing it to a child.

Lovely bright musical blocks
I bought these as a gift for my Grandson’s first birthday. My daughter was thrilled with them. I can’t say more as I haven’t actually seen them.

Not just a toy
My nephew (aged 10 months at the time) loved this when I bought it for him, and so did his parents! It is stylish as well as educational and fun. It's the kind of toy which looks great on display, especially a windowsill where the light would shine through.The blocks are sturdy, but small enough for little hands. They can be used as building blocks; the round ones can be rolled along the floor; the sounds they make are quite gentle; you can teach your child colours by holding two together to see how the colours change; and children love taking them all out of the holder and dropping them back in again, in any order.Great value for money, a lovely quality product, and one which would not be hidden away!

Great experience from order to delivery. Highly recommended!
An adventure in colour, light and sound! Indulge your childs appetite for exploration by merging blocks together to form new colours and sounds, or stack the blocks, within the holder in a different order each time to form new and exciting shapes.

They are safe enough for tiny ones as they can safely chew and chunky enough to hold, and sturdy enough they won't break with rough handling. They have lovely colours and as soon as they learn to shake things they have different sounds which delight 12 months and under. As they get older then they progress to being building blocks and then shape sorter. My daughter now 3 still plays with hers occasionally and they look lovely in her windowsill with the rainbow colours shining through. Would thoroughly recommend to the point that I have bought more for nephew and other friends, and many of our friends have commented on how lovely they are."}}]}]}
