Just started to use them along with a propagator, they should improve growing conditions but time will tell how the performance goes. I will update review.April 8th update. Great results using these lamps and propagator with tomato seeds and cucumber seeds from early sowings. I highly recommend these lamps.

I'm 100% sure this is not 28watts somewhere it said it's 6-9watts.. this makes more sense if it's only 500lm. I feel slightly ripped off in the way it was misrepresented but nearly all LED grow lights misrepresent their wattage. Tbh you can get something waaay more powerful if you get a cob module and simply attach a heatsink. Or just keep hunting .. a high CRI white daylight led is actually better from my research. This 28w lamp is a wide spectrum and does seem to work pretty well, but there are other options that are very cheap and superior. Some even 50w for £4. Check out the flood lights on eBay. I bought two and one has broken already and I only had them for a few months :-(

Great little bright light. Keeping my insectivorous plants and avocado saplings in leaf through the WinterUPDATE Feb 2019Two of the 5 bulbs I purchased have failed after 10 Months average use. Another draw back is that when trying to move them to another screw fitting the ceramic head with the LED units attached unscrews ie loosens the wrong way leaving the metal fitting stuck in the socket with small wires hanging so now 3 stars instead of 5Now 1 Star April 2019 as all 5 lamps purchased have failed, the lamp cells fail in patches then go out. Average life I guess is under 4000 hours based on about 12 hours a Day use, very poor considering the advert states 50000+ hours.

Gave a good light while it worked, however it died after a few hours. Returned for refund. May have been damaged in transit as sent in a polybag

This is a great little bulb. I have used it to grow various types of seedlings and they have all developed very well. Very pleased with this, especially given the price.
