I've been using this tester for almost a year now and it really helps me to get the nutrient strengths just right for my plants without overloading them. Worked from the start without any need to calibrate. Just dip it in your nutrient water,wait a few second's and then note the reading on the clear LCD display. Very simple and good value.

Good product for the price. Bought it to test water conductivity to work out if I needed to change tumble dryer settings because we have very soft water, Would have given 5 stars but screen is a bit hard to read unless its in very well lit environment.Like the fact that you can change units in which measurements are displayed. Easy to use but instructions might confuse the less technically minded.

I had a cheaper TDS/temp reader which was giving off different reading all the time so I decided to purchase this one as the quality looked a lot better and after a week of using this I have to say I'm happy with my purchase.This TDS reader seems to be very consistent in it's readings for temperature and TDS.The case is very nice and the screen is big and clear, it is very easy to use although I recommend holding the meter in the tank/water for about a minute for a more accurate reading as it takes about 20-30 seconds to make it's mind up but you'll know once the reading is done as the numbers will be stuck solid and not move until it's removed from the water.The price is very good and this is a great piece of kit I will definitely use for my tanks.This is actually a lot better for getting temperature reading then the thermometers you stick inside your tank and for that reason alone I recommend it especially if like me you need to make sure your tanks are a consistent temperature for breeding purposes

Got this to check the state of my water softener, it told me that my softener wasn't working (same PPM at input as output) so I ordered a new water softener. The softener came with its own chemical test kit which enabled me to compare results. Chemical test kit said 340ppm. This gadget said 290ppm and was highly sensitive to water temperature. Conclusion: OK for indication purposes, not particularly accurate.

Bought this to use with our Megahome water distiller. Disgusted to learn what is in our tap water (South East England) hard water is certainly not a surprise to find out, but the water was over 340 TDS!! The electric current reading, while not what it was purchased for, tells a telling story as to how much metal & other rubbish that must be in our water for it to conduct (in that pure 0 TDS water does not conduct a charge at all its the rubbish in the water that creates a circuit)Anyway we conducted a little experiment to see if bottled / tap / filtered really is different (photo shows the legal safe and expected levels)TDS LEVELSTap: 320Smart Bottled: 34Saka Bottled: 76Distilled: 0I know which one I’d rather not drink!!!As for the machine - easy to opporate & use - would need a control study to ensure readings were always 100% accurate but based on repeat readings they have been the same therefore I suspect accurate.

I mistakenly bought this as I thought it would measure water hardness. No. It does not. It’s supposed to measure ‘Total Dissolved Solids’ - whatever that means. Some geek (even geekier than me) will no doubt explain exactly what that means, but I think it’s a useless statistic. Some water samples that I measured around my house:* filtered water from my plumbed-in fridge: 270* hard ‘Affinity Water’ tap water: 250* My slightly green, filtered but smelly fishpond: 20* water butt water from my kitchen roof: 16Thirsty? I’ll bottle some for you.

Recently purchased a water distiller. The TDS meter is perfect and working well. Mains tap water at 112 ppm, dist at 2. the meter has given me assurance that it was the ccorrect decision to purchase the distiller. Thanks.

Works great. Only minor annoyance was that the sticker that was on the leather case has left behind a horrible sticky residue that is very difficult to remove.

Il misuratore funziona molto bene. Misura il residuo fisso e la conduzione elettrica e la temperatura del liquido. Il residuo fisso può avere un valore un pò più basso se paragonato ai valori riportati sulle etichette delle bottiglie di acqua commercializzate in quanto la misurazione effettuata dai laboratori di analisi utilizzano un sistema diverso con delle bolliture a 180 gradi. Offre comunque valori utili molto prossimi alla realtà e consente confronti prima e dopo l'applicazione di filtri di varie tipologie di acqua

Buena calidad precio. Útil el termómetro que es muy exacto. Lo uso frecuentemente y funciona bien.
