I buy jigsaws for my mother as she reckons it keeps her brain going. The picture rules for jigsaw puzzles are not like regular landscape photography; there need to be visual clues all over the picture so these rather artificial-looking paintings do just that, no matter how contrived they may look. I previously bought a German-made Scottish scene jigsaw puzzle and my mother got lost among the large areas of bracken and sky. I hope this information is useful to other purchasers.

I bought this puzzle for my daughter's birthday. When we received it the outer cellophane was undamaged but when she opened it, the bag inside the box was split open and the pieces were loose in the box. This must have happened in the factory. When she did the puzzle it was hard to do as there were no fewer than 96 pieces missing! She is going to send it back to the manufacturer and hopefully get a replacement. It is a good quality product, though, made of sturdy board with well fitting pieces and we have had ones from them before without a problem.

Gibsons jigsaws are top quality.Sturdy and well defined pieces are the best I have ever seen.I've just completed this first jigsaw I have embarked upon since I did them with my Mum 60 years ago. It brought back wonderful memories and drove me mad ... but what satisfaction when I completed it 10 minutes ago.Thank you .. just ordered another!!

its proving to be a very slow start = we thought there were two edge pieces missing but after searching through the box 5 times they were discovered - the flat side was so small it was had to distinguish between any other piece Its going to be a challenge but an enjoyable one xx

A beautiful colourful picture takes you back to the days when I was small , It makes you wish you were back in those days where the roads were empty and you could sit on the side of the canal bank and watch the barges pass not any more at the wold is at a race . Well done Gibsons for brining these quite picturess places back in your puzzles.

One piece missing, bit of a disappointment

Really good picture with plenty of detail and variety to make completing the puzzle much more interesting, rather than having vast expanses of blue sky or green foliage which just gets infuriating rather than challenging. I will definitely look for more puzzles from Gibsons.The only thing that lets it down is that there were 3 missing pieces which meant that it could not be finished ... Quite disappointing at the end but did not spoil my enjoyment of completing the puzzle.

Love it. Best spent money
