I began to suffer from Acid Reflux and pain I didn't want to take conventional medicine if I could avoid it so I started to look for an alternative. I read about DGL and I decided to try them but unfortunately they did not work for me so I thought that I would try Slippery Elm capsules. I can't beleive how much they have helped I take 2 capsules three times a day but as someone else suggested I broke the capsules into a small amount of water and took them that way and on the 2nd day the pain started to subside and the awful reflux lessend, I will use the remainder of the capsules but I have ordered Slippery Elm in powder form now.

I have used these capsules for some time now. I feel that they help settle my gut and are a good thing to take on a regular basis. They are quite gentle on the system & I have not experienced any negative side-effects.

I have severe gastritis caused by an autoimmune disease and have been taking prescription meds for nearly 15 yrs. I had become increasingly unwell to the point of being unable to tolerate nearly all food ( just oats and water most days ). These tablets have changed my life ! I still have to be very careful, but I now have a diet that I can more or less live with, I sometimes even manage a coffee for a real treat! I can't recommend them enough, better that any medication I've ever been prescribed! Also tried other brands but this one worked best by far!!

I suffer from bad gastritis and terrible nausea, I thought I'd try this a few hours after taking PPI's and before bed and I can feel it soothing my stomach. It helps with upper GI bloating quite well. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is the size of the capsule, it's far too big for me to swollow. So for this reason I open up the capsule and mix contents with cold milk and add abit of crusha milkshake mix to mask taste, I read you can mix in warm milk but I'd rather just down it quick, works just as well. If I had known about capsule size I would of just brought powdered slippery elm. Not sure if I could quite replace my PPI medication with this just yet!

I've been taking these 3 times a day for 10 days for gastritis and duodenitis which has been plaguing me on and off for a few years but really bad for the last few months since a very bad attack. Have been on omeprazole and then another azole (!) which do reduce the acid I'm sure but was still having a lot of discomfort, trouble sleeping as haing to lie propped up and feeling generally rubbish. I hope it's not psychological ( as in I so want these to work) but I feel so much better, haven't had the same amount of stomach discomfort and have been sleeping lying down without a problem! I take my meds every other day but plan to stop them altogether very soon as I'm sure these are doing a great job! Give them a go, there's nothing to lose.

Not too sure about these, yes, they are cost effective, more in the bottle and only three doses a day. Bought these as the regular one's I use were not available for some time but, whether it was just me or not I got the feeling they were not working as well as I expected and backed them up with Colpormin and as soon as the other make became available, went back on them and seem to have no problems now. The product is probably good enough but for me they were only a stand in for the other make.

Unfortunately Not good, the quality is not up to expectation. I am sure there are many other companies that compete with this company in terms of product quality, search for them!
