Antiseptic & Antibacterial - Works well for cut on nose
I've been irritated, on and off, for years with a tiny cut/broken skin on a really annoying bit of my nose next to the nostril in the top corner. Every time I got a cold or my nose ran a bit it stung really harshly. I've tried a few different creams/ointments over the years (Savlon being one) but nothing worked. I then discovered I needed something antiseptic AND antibacterial and came across this. I remember Brulidine from when I was a kid as my parents often had a tube in the first aid kit so I decided to buy this. It's been a game changer as it definitely works on the cut. You need to keep applying as I find that if I go a period of time without putting any on, once the cut has healed, then the next time it flares up and takes a bit more to apply, but it does still do the trick! Don't squeeze the tube from the middle though as I did this with the first one I bought and it split, meaning I had to buy another one despite loads of cream being left. Not sure how it compares to other similar creams on the market (I know Sainsburys used to do an AS&AB cream but it was discontinued) as I've not used any others but this one works!

pretty awesome - if you know how to use it
I had a rather deep, nasty wound on my lower leg get infected (like, at the deepest part, the size of a twenty pence coin and as deep as the cotton part of an average earbud - in retrospect, should've probably gotten a stitch or two!) and thought I'd give this a try. After three weeks of applying this cream multiple times a day under a plaster, the wound has almost completely filled in, and the only remnant of the infection is my poor itchy skin, and that's just because it hates dealing with plasters. You have to be sparing with how much you apply however, depending on the wound you're dealing with. If you add too much, which is very tempting to do, the cream will saturate the skin surrounding the wound and slow things down. If you take off your plaster and see that the skin around your wound is turning pale, that's the sign you're using too much. Keep the wound uncovered (carefully) until that skin 'dries out' and turns back to normal. The ideal amount, for me at least, was pretty easy to figure out. After washing your hands with soap and hot water, place your plaster with the wound pad exposed on a flat firm surface, then gently press the tip of the brulidine tube to it. Squeeze momentarily, stop, and then quickly pull back the tube. At no point should your fingers come in contact with the cream or wound pad.You should be left with a small amount of cream, no wider than the tube tip, that's flat at the sides with a small 'peak' of cream in the middle. Apply that to the wound, then change every few hours, after you bath/shower, before sleep and when you wake up.If after a week or so of doing this you notice no change in your wound, you should probably seek medical attention.

product does the job
I Have purchased this item previously and I like its antiseptic qualities. The item arrived by the date stated but the packaging was insufficient to properly protect the product and the carton was ripped inside the package and the tune of ointment was squashed and misshapen.
