Philips 2 Pack AVENT Soothie Pacifier, Pink/Purple, 0-3 Months

I could not get my baby to accept any dummy at all until I came across these dummies. They aren't the most attractive but work a treat. My baby took to them straight away and we have never looked back. A total game changer.

This is the third soother I purchased and has been the best fit for my breastfed baby. Soft material and in my opinion, has a very similar shape to a nipple.

I can't recommend these highly enough.We didn't want to use a dummy with our baby due to hearing so much about dummies damaging teeth etc.but these are specifically designed not to change the mouth shape or teeth of your child.We use the dummies sparingly but have found them very good. They are made completely of quite a soft rubber which allows the dummy to be chewed easily and the mouthpiece to conform to your babies mouth shape. They also seem to sooth our child very quickly so she ends up letting the dummy drop out of her mouth after a few minutes.Our friends were using regular dummies but have recently changed, after seeing how our child was with these, and have reported that it was the best thing they ever did.

I’ve got twins who were a little premature and I was advised giving them dummies would help with their feeding. There doesn’t seem to be any nipple confusion so the dummies must be a fairly natural shape and feel (unless my babies aren’t bothered). Easy to clean and good quality. The only annoying thing I’ve found is that when you’re trying to attach them to your baby so they don’t get lost, not many clips are compatible. Also they often come out of my babies’ mouths. I’ve got no experience with dummies so I don’t know if that’s normal, if it’s something to do with how my babies suck or if it’s the shape of the dummy. It is very frustrating though.

I purchased the Soothie as I had read positive reviews for use with breastfeeding. My newborn daughter did take to it easily and it did not interfere with breastfeeding, however its a little awkward to handle and I prefer soothers to have a protective case for storage and carrying about. I got over the appearance of the soother (my newborn looked as if she had been intubated!) but it drew a lot of comments from friends. Hey - as long as it works appearances are irrelevant.I will say I think it was a little overpriced - especially considering my now 8 week old is just as happy with a cheaper model. Delivery was very prompt - received the order within a few days to Ireland.

My 4 week old refused 3 different types of dummies, using the boob as a soother…. This is a game changer! She settles with this product after a feed meaning she is sleeping so much better at night time! I’ll be purchasing more!

The media could not be loaded. Life saver for me a mum of five as my 3 week baby took this and still breastfed well. She sleeps so much better now as helps her fall asleep then she will spit it out. Does look abit funny while there small but for the sake of you getting sleep and hand free time as they settle in a chair etc who cares.
