Relaxing & restorative, and great value
This really is a plastic bucket with a re-sealable lid, filled with 5kg of magnesium chloride hexahydrate (MgCl2) flakes. As such it’s a large, heavy item and you will need sufficient space to store it in the bathroom or other location. You scoop the magnesium flakes into the bathwater and then soak in it. The bio-science is inconclusive, but it’s accepted that magnesium is a vital mineral for health and especially for good immune system function. Modern city lifestyles, stress and processed food can lead quickly to Mg depletion. Soaking in MgCl2 flakes is certainly therapeutic & relaxing and leaves your skin feeling rejuvenated and fresh. Since we started using it a few weeks ago, we both sleep more soundly and wake up refreshed and full of energy. One caution: if you leave the lid off the bucket, the MgCl2 flakes absorb moisture from the atmosphere (especially in a bathroom where the air is often full of moisture) go hard as a rock, sitting in a pool of milky coloured liquid. This doesn’t affect the Mg chemically but changes its consistency when handling it. Also be aware that if you use this product regularly, then over time you’re going to accumulate a collection of empty, lidded plastic buckets! Verdict: good product and very good value.

If you have muscle cramps this will help.
If you have muscle cramps this will help. The quality of this product is good. You will not be disappointed. I use it in a footbath which is externalities effective . I no longer need it for remedially purposes but I use it to keep my levels of magnesium up . If you don't know what your levels are you can order an intercellular test online to find out. I'm pretty sure you be different , most people are. Also works well in a spray but this is not everyone's cup of t as it an irritant ( which is just hormones doing their thing ) and can be uncomfortable . If using as a spray , spray the effected area, leave for 20 minutes then aply a second coat. Wait 20 minutes and wash it off and you won't be anyoned all day long with the burning sensation.

When it comes to Magnesium baths, there’s often confusion surrounding the difference between Epsom and Magnesium! Yes, they look alike but they are in fact very different Epsom salts are made from Magnesium Sulfate, and Magnesium salts are Magnesium Chloride. Magnesium plays a crucial role in our daily bodily functions, so we need to ensure that we are receiving enough each day some of the major signs of Magnesium deficiency include calcium deficiency, poor heart health, weakness, muscle cramps, tremors, nausea and anxiety. You might also have high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, respiratory issues, dizziness and fatigue. Other symptoms include potassium deficiency, difficulty swallowing, poor memory and confusion. Adding Magnesium chloride to your bath is an excellent way to absorb much needed Magnesium into the body. Magnesium Chloride is completely natural, and actually 5 times stronger than Epsom salts I always used epsom salts until a friend educated me on magnesium falkes if been taking magnesium supplements for 9 months and noticed so many benefits so i ordered the natural supplies magnesium flakes which arrived the next day and it certainly helps in many ways especialy makes the skin feels refreshed and soft and totaly relaxed and helps with my sleep as I suffer from insonmia so I would definitely recommend using Magnesium Flakes. It IS flakes, it is a trustworthy brand and I am happy with it
Westlab is a brand that doesn’t require introduction. I have been using their product for a long time now. You can find their product in many places but I decided to buy 5kg (and that you will mostly find online - Amazon) because I use it a lot (bath-time-rytual) I read some reviews saying 2 things that I disagree and you can see in my photos and video: 1. It is Flakes 2. It comes with the lable * Bathing with magnesium flakes is the best way to supplement you body with this mineral. Personal Opinion: really happy with my purchase, I was almost put off by the reviews but I trusted my instincts and the security Amazon provides that if anything was different from what is shown they would accept the product back. PS: I am not a medical professional, this informations is based in my opinion.

Relieves aches and pains
I use Epsom/magnesium salts alot as have fibromyalgia, and bone disease. So have chronic pain. This product is the best of found. I isr a cup full in my bath with baking soda & aromatherapy oils. My pain subsides and j drift away into a pain free relaxing state. It's not a cure by far, bit a little piece of relief.

Good for a nice soak
I've used other Westlab products before, but I wanted a change from the usual Epsom Salts. These are...well, Magnesium Flakes (which look more salty than flakey), that I use mostly for foot soaks. They work their magic and I get sweet relief, and my feet feel relieved and rejuvenated. You can pretty much get the brand anywhere, so you really can't go wrong with this.

The Amazon experience was predictable - reasonable price, rapid delivery. I've been using different magnesium products to treat my nasty case of AFib. Magnesium helps and this is an incredibly economical approach but I'm /inclined/ to believe some of the sprays and lotions are more effective. -difficult to tell with the soak until I've got more experience (greater size sample of testing). I've been using it in the tub and I have a bad disc which makes it tough to sit upright for long. (I soak for ~5 minutes.) EDIT: I no longer do the soak in the tub approach. Instead, I mix my own spray. The sprays to buy are expensive and this, with a little effort, is a VERY economical alternative. NOTE/DISCLAIMER/WARNING: I am not a physician/clinician nor anything of the sort. You should check with yours (one who has knowledge of and interested in holistic approaches to HELPING the body to heal) before “self-medicating”. Here’s what I do to mix my own spray: I saved a very wide mouth, clear plastic container (that came with bulk mixed nuts). Clean it out. Fill it FULL of the Zechstein flakes. Add water to about half full. Put the cap on and give it a swirl. Set it aside. Repeat the swirling after a few hours or the next day. Swirl again until all the flakes are dissolved. Add more flakes. Repeat. At first you can probably fill the jar with more flakes but eventually they won’t fully dissolve. This tells you the water can’t hold any more magnesium. I believe this is called the point of saturation. When the water is saturated, poor some into a wide mouth spray bottle or use a funnel in a narrow one. Fill the bottle only about half way. Stand in the shower (before you bathe) and spray it all over your body. Give it a few minutes to absorb before bathing. It feels greasy/oily but it isn’t and will literally rinse off. IF IT STINGS, you have some space in the pray bottle to dilute it a LITTLE until it doesn’t sting any more. I never had the stinging problem but if you do, you may be able to gradually work up to a stronger solution. DOES IT WORK FOR AFIB? I HAD miserable AFib and after a long time of doing this, plus Mg lotion after the shower and before bed and a LOT of supplements during the day and with some potassium supplements, as well, I’m able to /manage/ my AFib. Where I was on the path for ablation, now I am not and that is in spite of the medics still wanting to sell me one (or more). NOTE: we are all different. Your mileage may vary. Your response to this approach may work sooner or later than mine.

This is by far the best purchase I have made in my 35 years... Being magnesium deficient is an epidemic today, magnesium helps promote postassium, calcium and vitamin c which makes it an absolute necessity that no one mentions... About 40 percent of magnesium foods are absorbed through the small intestine and about 5% is absorbed through the large intestine which is only accurate if you’re eating right. While processed foods, sugars, coffee, etc delay this absorption making our bodies crawling for magnesium, anxiety on the rise, individuals inability to focus, consistent migraines the list goes on and on and people revert to conspiracy theories like HARRP or chemtrails making us sick, this is our own doing, we need to blame ourselves for once... I use these magnesium flakes in a pan and melt them down to a liquid... To do this you'll need to boil 1 3/8 cup of water because when it’s boiled you have to compensate for the evaporation at 100+ degrees, once its started to boil turn off the stove and let it sit for 2 minutes, pour 1 cup of magnesium flakes in and stir, then add to a spray bottle and spray your arms, legs and stomach 4 - 8 times a day because magnesium is needed in every part of the body, and your intestines trying to disperse it out is a lot of work, also your skin stops absorbing magnesium once it is satisfied.... keep in mind that almost everything you put on your skin is absorbed into your blood stream so try and refrain from any pen oils or harmful liquids. Quite honestly I feel like I’ve been in a comma before magnesium, as if I was loosing my memory, my body was weak, i had a poor circadian rhythm and I was feeling 🙁 a lot ... after the first week I feel as if I’ve been woken up... but beware cause if you don’t wipe it off or take a shower after 30-60 minutes you’ll feel an itchy feeling like you may be getting bites or hives and also make sure you’re not allergic. Hope you have an amazing day.
