Where Is the Green Sheep? Board book – Picture Book, 1 Jan. 1980

I honestly don't know who enjoys this book more - me or my 2 year old! It was a recommendation from a friend and we are definitely not disappointed. A nice change to the usual childrens nursery rhymes or other popular books (that are all enjoyed by us too) -this is fun from the first page to the last and has my daughter enthralled even after several months of reading it. Its one we always pack for a journey or trip away.It's a lovely way to introduce different actions, shapes, colours etc and uses fun pictures of different sheep all the way through on the journey to find the illusive green sheep. We giggle all the way through it and my daughter still says "shush" towards the end as we turn the page quietly to take a peep...............Brilliant...

New favorite with my 18 month toddler who is selecting this book every night for past two weeks. I bought it several months ago on recommendation from the speech therapist in a chatter babies play group, but he is only enjoying it now. He loves the scene in the park with all the sheep doing different activities. When we get to the final page with the sheep sleeping, he screams to wake him up! Nice illustrations, repetitive rhyming text and good for language development.

I bought this book for my son's 1st birthday and he loved it the first time we read it. He is now 2 and a half and it is still one of his favourites. We can read it several times in a day sometimes.It's a very carefully crafted rhyming book with fantastic illustrations and as an adult I enjoy reading it too and appreciating the work that has gone into creating its perfect simplicity. We have purchased several books to add to our collection recently, but this one has really captured the attention of my 21 month old - he loves pointing at all the different sheep!It is a simple premise, fast paced and rhyming, with pictures of each sheep we encounter while searching for the elusive green sheep...

Our 2 year old son loves this book... every time we read the book it keeps him in suspense right until the last page where you find the 'Green Sheep'..... fast asleep!It teaches a lot of describing words with nice illustrations for example 'scared sheep' and 'brave sheep', 'up sheep' and 'down sheep', 'bath sheep' and 'bed sheep' as you are reading through the book trying to locate the Green Sheep.It's a small sized board book which is great for little hands and perfect for throwing in to my bag if we go out.My son loves this book and we find it enjoyable & a pleasure to read with him when he likes it so much.The only downside with our copy is the red sheep looks more orange/brown than red so the printing colours are not fantastic, hence me giving 4 stars. In my sons eyes it would still get 5 stars for entertainment.

Great simple rhyming story, fab illustrations that capture a young eye. My month old loved it straight away and often grabs it first when I place it with other books in front of her...is an enjoyable read for parents and great for developing baby's recognition in the years to come I think.

A friend introduced my children to this book and they now absolutely love it. The pictures are clear, the text is simple and easy to understand and there are lots of things to talk about given the pictures are relatively simple. I also like the introduction of new vocabulary throughout.

Está muy bonito el cuento, simple y simpático, el libro es de cartón duro, especial para bebés, y súper pequeñito para manitas pequeñas. Está lindo, se lo leo a mi bebé de 6 meses, aunque se que ya más grande lo apreciará mejor.

É um livro interessante, de boa qualidade e lindas ilustrações. O produto na edição cartonada tem dimensões pequenas.

Livre particulièrement apprécié ! Super drôle et amusant. La traduction n Est effectivement pas tout à fait juste. Par exemple « here is thé Blue sheep » est plutôt « aquí está la oveja azul » et non « esta es la oveja azul »
