Smarter Paws Professional Dog Nail Clippers Set with FREE E-BOOK, Video guide and Nail File included

Bought these clippers for my three dogs all of varying sizes. I am intrepid at first as it can be nerve wracking cutting black nails but after watching tutorials, it was less anxiety provoking than i thought !Clippers were sturdy but not heavy, robust but easy to operate. I found it a little hard to see clearly when you have tiny nails (I have Dachshunds) but this may well be due to my lack of experience. There is also a nail file in the end of the clippers that was surprisingly good considering it is a little extra. This was in fact very useful especially if you are a novice (some of my cuts at first were a little untidy!). Im not sure i totally understood the 'guard' and if I used it correctly, but thankfully I didnt have any dramas.I would recommend these clippers for value and quality, not the most expensive but not rubbish either. As a little helpful note, for those who are 'first timers' I also bought Blood Stop Petswabs and had them by me in case I did accidentally over do it !

My dog George hates having his nails clipped so I wasn’t expecting an easy job today but whilst st first he was reluctant when I started clipping he was great. Little wriggling from the boy but mostly really good for him - the clippers are comfy to hold and easy to use.Super sharp so even thickest claws sorted in no time so reducing stress on George. Really pleased with them - didn’t use the nail file which is smartly stored in one of the arms but will do next time.Really pleased with them - very good quality and arrived super quick.

Rated a four and not a five solely for the reason that I don't like or wish to be pestered by companies fishing for reviews. One message would suffice without causing too much irritation. This product is of excellent quality that fits comfortably in the hand and cuts like a hot knife through butter. For all the people getting upset that they haven't received a free nail file it's located in the handle of the clippers. I've also bought a Maxipaws dog whistle which was also of excellent quality. Price I would say lies between average to top end of what you would be expecting to pay. Also as a final note, saying that something comes with a free e-manual when really it's just a replacement for the instructions which should come with the product in the first place, for me really isn't a selling feature. Nor is a free video that anyone with any sense could just as easily log on to a popular video streaming site and see many different instructional videos.

We bought these clippers urgently because I can’t seem to get anyone reliable to come and visit my boy and clip his claws that so desperately needed doing.I’ve alwsys paid people to groom him and clip his claws as I once had a bad experience with another dog and caught the quick of the nail, thus putting me off for life. There was so much blood and we had to go to the vet.Anyway. I’m not sure why I picked these clippers, but I did... think the 5 star review was reassuring and they arrived the next day courtesy of my Prime membership.I went to use the clippers this evening. I followed their video instructions found on their website and that gave me the confidence to go ahead and clip his claws. Everything went well!The clippers are well made... don’t seem like cheap muck, and they were nice and sharp... just what we needed. So pleased with them and my boy now has lovely claws too. Excellent value for money and the quality is first class. I've spent years trying to find nail clippers for my dogs which 1- don't pinch my fingers when pressing the handle 2- actually cut the nail 3- the nail guard doesn't keep moving and you keep on moving it back in to place 4- doesn't end up with me as a nervous wreck - well these clippers manage all 4 of these problems plus the video of a real live vet talking you through the process and giving you lots of tips is extremely professional. I especially like the grip that the lovely long handles give you and this feature makes purchasing these clippers well worth the money. I would thoroughly recommend these dog nail clippers and they are actually called 'Professional' and I agree 100% with this statement.

Very good product. They do the job - I have a small dog but when you get to the claws they are quite think. These clippers cut right through effectively.I am amending this review because over time these clippers have proved excellent so I just want to add this. There is a guard to prevent you taking off too much of the nail. Some dogs have transparent nails making it easy to see the quick but ours, like many, has black nails so the quick is invisible. The guard ensures we clip our dog's nails a reasonable amount, but not too much - so no blood, the sight of which I panic even though I do have stuff to staunch any bleeding very quickly. They are still sharp but I would expect them to remain sharp up to now.

I've been using these clippers for a while and I'm happy enough with them and the information that was provided with them.My dog has strong dark nails but I've trimmed them a few times without any problems.There is a guard, which may be useful for some but I find it gets in my way. I love the idea of the file tucked away into the handle but it could do with being a bit rougher to be more effective. In my opinion, the clippers could also be a little sharper too, especially for those strong dark nails, so currently not sure how long they will last or cut effectively.The handles are ergonomic and comfortable, and I like the locking feature.So far, so good and I'll update this review if necessary.Update: I've had these for 4 months, but the clippers seem to have become blunt and aren't effective at cutting the nail cleanly.
