Ditch your cartridge razors and get one of these!!!!!!!
So I decided to up my shaving game.I'm not gonna lie and pretend I'm part of the 'less plastic' movement. No, I bought this because I'm now saving an absolute fortune on blades.Guys, I'll be honest, you have to learn to shave all over again. But after 4 or 5 shaves, you get the hang of it.I shave 2-3 times a week and sure, at first I nicked my neck several times. Two weeks later, I'm doing okay.Things I will suggest though. You need to ditch your cans of shaving foam/gel. Shaving with a DE Safety Razor takes more time and those products your used to dry your skin out before your done. You need to buy some proper shaving cream, a shave brush and a shaving bowl.Yes, it's an investment, but these items, including the razor, blades, cream, brush and bowl can be bought for around £50 if you shop savvy.Once you're set, the razor will last years, the cream, easily 6-8 months (I use Taylors Of Bond Street 150g) and the brush and bowl cost pennies to replace.Blades are ridiculously cheap.I bought 200 off a well known auction site for £20 brand new. They will last me easily over 18 months. It's a no brainer.I cannot tell you if this is the perfect DE Razor as I've only just started my new shaving regime.I can say it's very nice, easy to use and easily travel ready as it has a case and pocket mirror included.I'm 36 and I'm shaving like our grandads did. They knew how to groom.Closest and most comfortable shave you'll ever get.And your skin will improve. No razor burn, no ingrown hairs.

Quality without the high price.
What's not to love, bought this as always gift for someone after buying and using mine for 6 months or so.Looks:It is presented in a hard black plastic case which is more than adequate for keeping the razor protected. There is a small mirror on the inside of the box as well as a very handy recess under where the razor sits where a box of 5 Astra razor blades sits perfectly. The razor looks classy and simple. Personal preference for me was the silver colour but in all honesty, they both look very nice. Simple yet elegant.Use:I'd never used a safety razor like this before, I found it incredibly easy to use. Once you have it in your head that you don't need to apply pressure when shaving (compared to cassette multi blade razors). Doesn't take long to get a feel how is best to shave your own face. Not too heavy or too light. Conclusion: As a complete new person to safety razors, I was not sure if this would be a quality product, especially given the price I paid for it. I openly admit that my reservations were unfounded. I've had no issues with the product and would definitely recommend it to friends and family. I think the fact I've bought one as a present says it all really! Very happy with the product.

A great Father's Day gift or everyday razor! Just remember to get good blades!
I personally prefer the cheaper model (B01 i think) that is not butterfly opening however this version does have it's merits. It is far easier to swap out the blades and it does have a bit more weight to it.The case is a very tight fit and sometimes pops open if it gets knocked but is otherwise very useful. Due to the opening system, the top is quite curved. I prefer the flatter top of the B01 however I think that this is personal preference. The item itself is very good quality - sturdy and tough - and feels like it will last a very long time with normal use. I pair it with Shark DE blades which are cheap but good - if you wanted sharper blades I'd recommend Feathers and if you are just starting out Derby blades have a very good following. If possible, get a tester pack of DE blades with a range of different brands to try out the blades - as the cutting edge of the razor they do make a massive difference and all have slightly different characteristics. DE blades are always far cheaper than cartridges and will save you money in the long run

Quallity feeling item.
I've been using double edged/safety razors for a number of years now and when my old Muhler rounded off the threads that held the head on I found out that a replacement part is near enough the same price as the razor itself brand new in it's entirety. So with this in mind I though I would try something a bit different and this looked like a good value option. The mechanism is easy to use and feels sturdy enough. The chrome finish looks and feels like it will last and the ribbed handle makes it easy to grip with wet hands. It has a nice weight about it and feels precise when in use. It takes some practice to get the right angle but once it clicks it gives a good clean shave. It comes in a plastic box/travel case which has a small mirror inside. Although I've not had to shave using it yet, I suppose at a pinch you would be able to. The box is sturdy enough and is perfect for storing the razor in your wash kit when travelling without having to remove the blade.

If you have a tenner to lose, you won't loose it here!
This is my first time of using safety razor. I got fed up with fake blades for Wilkinson (I was using Sword Hydro 5) and expensive genuine ones. I decided to go for this, I have not fully transferred yet. I still use "the goo" instead of shaving soap, but it is a matter of time only. The results of this razor are quite good. It allows me to go closer to skin than any other razor would have had before. I am shaving with and then against the hair, this results with smooth baby face WITHOUT irritation. I have yet to scratch my face with it. I have purchased 6 month supply of Astro blades for 8 quid. BrilliantAs for the product :-looks sturdy-have butterfly design-travel box is great addition for storageLike I said, it is my first safety razor and I do not have any comparison to others but I just wish it was bit heavier. YouTube videos suggest that the razor should just glide down by its own weight and this one is definitely too light. For the first time safety shavers, like me, I strongly advise to have a hot shower before and cold after the shave. And buy menthol aftershave, oh yiss.
