Great ratcheting screwdriver set
The Wera Kraftform Kompakt 27 RA 1 SB is a versatile and well-designed ratcheting screwdriver set that excels in both performance and ergonomics. The set includes a robust ratcheting screwdriver handle and a selection of high-quality bits, covering Phillips, Pozidriv, and Slotted (Flathead) types. One of the standout features of this screwdriver is its ergonomic handle, which is comfortable to hold and provides excellent grip, even during extended use. The ratcheting mechanism works smoothly and allows for quick direction changes without needing to lift the screwdriver off the fastener. This is particularly useful in tight spaces where continuous turning is necessary. The bits themselves are made from durable materials and fit securely into the handle with a quick-release chuck, ensuring they stay in place during operation. The selection of bit types covers most common screw heads encountered in household and professional settings, making it a versatile tool for various tasks. Overall, the Wera Kraftform Kompakt 27 RA 1 SB is a top-tier ratcheting screwdriver set that combines Wera's renowned build quality with practical design features. It's ideal for anyone looking for a reliable toolset that enhances efficiency and comfort during screwdriving tasks. Highly recommended for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals alike.

Solid Professional tool.
Before I purchased this I saw a young lad on my crew using one. And it's big selling point is that it is a fast tool that will get the job done without fail. Even though I cant see me using it as a heavy duty tool it seems to have the strength to do basic wood build and electrical installs. This is not a tool to force out rusty metal work but it will sertanly pay for itself with the speed you can do medium duty work at. The bits in the handle is a great feature that makes it almost imposible to lose the bits (none lost yet anyway). And even though the handle is a hollow storage area it is still rock solid. The ratchet system is a big clicker and that tells me it has big strong pawls so it is built to last rather than pressision turning. The bottom line on this for me is that I now have a draw full of heavy duty drivers that will rearly see the light of day again. And if I didnt have that pile of drivers I'm sure I would get myself a second on. With that being said.. Every blokeish person on my Xmas list will be getting on!

Probably the best ratchet hex driver currently available
Although the handle does not feature any dimples, ridges or any similar design that may improve grip, I have never found that a good grip was difficult to achieve with my existing Wera set supplied in a mini tool roll and bought about a year ago. The green insertions into the handle are a softer material than the main body (rubber, silicone or similar) and help with the grip. The handle on this tool appears to be externally similar in design to the other although significantly larger and should prove equally satisfactory for many years to come. There is space inside holding within it six bits, two each slotted, Philips and Pozidrive in the more common sizes, and which can be accessed by pressing the green button on the end. The bit holder is magnetic but you could add Wera's Rapidaptor (available separately, often at under £10) to provide easy insertion and removal with a more firmly secured bit during use. The long hexagonal blade stem is rigid and reasonably long and unlikely to interfere with its deployment which my previous tools that do not feature a shaft but just the handle and hex adapter often did. Wera's hex bits are generally reckoned to be about the best available, although they do have at least two qualities of product (excluding their Impact range) of which the 'Diamond' range (not included here) is supreme. However, supplying 'Diamond' bits where relevant would have raised the price dramatically. If you need a ratchet driver, this is probably the best and most practical solution available and the price is also reasonable for the quality. As the shaft is almost as long as its handle, it should be easy to use when confined by objects (pipework or fittings). Other than having to buy a Rapidaptor, should I choose to use one, I cannot find any negatives about this tool.

Good quality but questionable value
The Wera ratcheting screwdriver feels very similar in quality to the Bahco version. For ease of bit access it’s a clear winner, however, it’s far more rattly than the Bahco but may have slightly less play in the actual shaft. The ratchet system feels less smooth and a little stiffer, although this might be down to my Bahco having has a bit more use. The Bahco is also a bit longer with knurling on the shaft which is nicer for more precise work and a more comfortable handle. I bought the Wera because I find getting the bits out of the Bahco a bit irritating and because the Wera looks cool. The overall difference in quality feels minimal and I’m not sure it’s the better of the two. If you’re a Wera fan then it a great ratcheting screwdriver. If you just want a good quality ratchet screwdriver the Bahco is cheaper with a comfier handle, longer shaft with knurling, smoother ratchet, similar magnet strength and similar if not the same bit set. Access to bits however the Wera is better but might be less durable. I was going to give three stars due to how expensive it is vs the competition, but there’s something cool about Wera tools and it is still very good quality, even if it is a bit rattly.
