I recently purchased the Nicpro 3 PCS 1.3 mm Mechanical Pencils Set, and overall I think it's a good set of pencils. It did take me a little bit of time to get used to them, but once I did, I found them to be very comfortable to write with. The weight distribution of the pencils is great, and the grip is very comfortable. The 1.3mm lead size is perfect for my needs. It's tougher than a 0.9mm lead and can handle writing on course surfaces and unlike a 2mm pencil it doesn’t need to be sharpened I also find that the thickness of the lead allows for a more bold and clear line without being too thick. One downside is that the weight of the pencil may take some getting used to. I like to keep my pencil in my hat, but these pencils are a bit heavier and tend to fall out. Despite the barrel being a plastic resin it seems very durable and I believe that they will last a long time if not abused. Overall, for the price, I am satisfied with this set of pencils and I may even purchase another set to have in more locations. If you are in need of a good set of mechanical pencils with a thicker lead, I would definitely recommend giving these a try.

While the quality of these pencils seems to be pretty good, I have one major complaint. If the lead breaks between the barrel and the tip, the pencil will not function properly and the lead is extremely difficult to replace. When this happened to me, I took the pencil apart, cleared the broken lead piece, and pulled the remaining lead out of the pencil. I then reassembled the pencil and inserted a new lead into the tube under the cap. Pushing the cap repeatedly did not result in the lead feeding into the mechanism. I finally took the pencil completely apart again and tried feeding the lead up through the mechanism. To do this, I had to put only the cap back on and push it down while holding the mechanism to allow it to open, then I fed the lead in and reassembled. The pencil works again, but this was more difficult than it should have been. This has been my only complaint. I am happy with the fit and feel of the pencil. A 1.3mm pencil is, of course, not extremely sharp, but it does the job for doing engineering calculations on paper.
