L'Oréal Paris Double Extension Mascara Waterproof

I bought this because apparently it’s essential. I have no clue why. She puts it on, looks fantastic, and I nod in approval. Waterproof, amazing, makes her eyelashes long enough to see from space. I’m impressed.

It is a good mascara but not my favourite. The first week I used the white stuff and immediately used the mascara and it didn't work. My eyes looked sad. The following week I used the white stuff and left it to dry between 3 to 5 minutes and it worked.

I’ve used this product on and off for over ten years, but today I’ve been really upset by shockingly bad customer service for such a large company. As you can see in my photograph there was a misalignment of the bristles on my product, however this came and went as it seems the bristle sometimes went back into position, and sometimes popped out. During the first week of use I scratched my eyeball badly while using the product. This resulted in pain, pinkness around eye and tears dreaming throughout the day for three days. I didn’t notice the fault in the product until later and was surprised to see the bristle went back in and out over time. Because I didn’t notice the fault in the product I carried on using it as put it down to my own fault to begin with, but was shocked that it was not getting better within a few hours which is what normally happens if you injure yourself with a mascara wand. I’ve called L’Oréal as Amazon doesn’t have a refund option like it normally does, and there isn’t a faulty product option to click on the product which I purchased over three months ago. Only the p no one number. On the call back the lady asked if I had seen a doctor about my injury, I understood this may be because of legal reasons to see if I may be able to make a claim against them, however I trusted that the customer service would be good enough regardless so told her I had not. However later in the call she said that because “you insisted on carrying on using the product for three months” I was not entitled to a refund. She said also if I want a refund I need to email them a photograph and provide an order number, however she didn’t provide an email address and she wrapped the call up. I’ve worked in customer service and this is not how I was trained! I explained I am poor so continued using rather than go without the product while sorting out, and noticed the problem and worked around it, but that does not absolve them of fault. They asked for a batch number on the product but due to their own design errors it has worn off the product, I presume it is where the bar code is. I pulled the labels apart but it was only the ingredients list on the inside. Surely preserving the batch code number is a higher priority L’Oréal, if you want to protect your customers? Really disappointing and I don’t hold them in the high regard I previously did. I was not going to put this on the internet but I guess it’s down to me to warn others.

I buy this all the time, works.so well, really waterproof and wouldn't change as I've tried so many and I find others are not as waterproof as this one. Washes off easily with eye makeup remover. I wear contact lenses and I find this does not irritate my eyes.

I always get this one. Works great, easy to apply and looks great on. Definitely waterproof and long lasting.
