Great Watch - Almost Perfect
I'd normally only buy stainless steel bracelet style watches but as this was for work as well, I figured it would be best to get something more durable. Being completely new to the Casio style of watches, I looked at the whole range and mulled over them for ages. In the end I settled for the one that kept catching my eye and I have to say, I'm totally happy with my choice. This particular one immediately jumped out because of the fabric strap and orange trim, a bit like a hybrid g-shock for those not wanting something the size of a grandfather clock on their wrist. G-Shocks are normally very bulky with huge faces, this one however, as you'll read in other reviews is slightly smaller - which to me is absolutely perfect. Its like the size they should be. Its still man-sized, tough, chunky and durable without being ridiculously oversized. Theres no way that it could be considered a childs watch, unless the child in question has a beard and muscles like Arnie. Other people have mentioned that the watch is difficult to work, with someone suggesting that you need to work at NASA. I haven't found this at all but maybe I'm a genius. Which is highly doubtful. Theres 4 buttons, clearly labelled. The mode button cycles through the various modes and holding the adjust button down sets the watch to adjust mode where you to edit the settings with Forward and Reverse. I think people forget that theres a load of functions on this watch and only four button to edit them, so theres obviously going to be more than one button press to set it up. A PDF manual can be downloaded for those who are too shortsighted to see the supplied booklet. Just Google Casio Operation Guide 4778. The watch is actually pure black and looks better in the flesh than the photo on Amazon. On Amazon it looks washed out black / grey.Pros:It looks great.Durable, hard wearing.Good strap. Note - the watch sits on top of the strap, it isnt 'in-line' with it.Features are useful - analogue and digital time, Day/Date world time, countdown timer, stopwatch and 5 alarms, and these features have advanced features such as countdown progress beeper, repeat countdown, hourly signal, auto illuminate, snooze alarm etc.Its fairly easy to set up. The only tricky part is remembering to set your local zone when setting the time (so that the rest of the world is correct)ConsThe strap is maybe a little bit too wide - has a bit of a rock star studded belt look to it with the silver on black fasteners. The minute hand covers up one of the displays when its around quarter past the hour. Though not sure how this could be avoided without making the face bigger and hands smaller. When setting the analogue hand, its a pain if you miss. Theres no going backwards, you have to keep going all the way around again which takes a few minutes.

Great Watch
I've been using this watch for the last 3 weeks for school.Pros:- I can tell the analog time quite easily- The LED light is strong- I've hit it off desks before (by accident) not a scratch- It can also display the digital time (and also other timezones, seperate to the analog time)- It looks great and works great- The G-Shock featuresCons:- I would say, the size is a bit bulky for school (but that hasn't really been much of a problem for me)- Digital time can be hard to read sometimes because of the size (but isn't really a huge deal for me)It's a great watch but it may be a bit too bulky in size for some people. It looks very nice though. The durability of it is a major plus.

Good Cheap But Basic G Shock
I've now had this watch for around a month to replace an old G Shock that lasted for 11 years which still worked but had persished after being taken all over the world to the extent that the strap had been replaced and the case had fell apart. Rather than do a triggers broom I thought I would buy a new one. This watch was reasonably priced and provided all the functions I required, namely it tells the time, but also has a clockface and digital display, date, timer and stopwatch. It was easy enough to set up and will be good enough for use at work and play without being fancy enough to wear at a night out (not that you couldnt). The clock body feels as robust as I would expect from G Shock and I dont think it is unreasonably to say that this will last as long as my old one.Two negatives to this watch are the strap, which I feel is not as solid as a typical plastic G Shock strap and will likley need to be replaced quicker (thats not scientifically proven) (it can also smell (in hot weather) if not washed regularly) and the small digital display. The display is not a problem for me but its something you should be aware of if you are looking to buy it.Overall, for the price I paid, I am more than happy with the watch and it will do exactly what I want from it, but it is basic!

Good value, looks smart and not too bulky
Nice watch, face is not too oversized, so doesnt feel 'clunky' on my wrist. I like the strap - feels better than the plastic ones and seems pretty strong. The flash of orange is pretty subtle. One drawback is its not the easiest to read the digital functions (not got great eyesight in fairness, but i am quite happy to use the analogue - i just needed a tough watch.

six years and battery still going
Looks and feels good. The battery lasted just a little over 7 years, which is good enough. New battery in and watch is as good as new - battery was upside down! The strap is the best part of the watch, but I have had to purchase an exact replacement strap as the strap keeper broke. However, you can just replace the keeper with a silicone one if you are not too fussy. I have purchased another one of these watches for under £50 and have two straps now ... they are good watches for the price. Recommended.

Great overall, however LED illumination needs improvement
Pros: Great looking watch. Very comfortable to wear with the fabric strap fitting snugly. The watch face is smaller than most of the range of G-Shocks with analogue hands which is perfect for me as I have small wrists and the larger models look too big. International delivery was reliable and on time, even to Dubai which is not always great for couriers.Cons: The illumination is by an LED at the side of the watch face, which although clearly lights up the analogue hands, does not enable clear view of the small digital displays behind (date / day / month / mode etc). Would have been better with a combination of rear lighting and the face mounted LED.
