I have had this installed for 5 years and its still going strong. The included power supply is also still being used no issues at all.Performance is great it really illuminates the area at night

This ir light is good. When buying one please don't just look at the manufacturers distance or power ratings. choosing a very powerful light can have totaly adverse affect on what u see in image. The good cctvs have aperture in the lens, that will open n close to match the intensity of light.If you buy an ir led that lits up to 50m, it depends on situation. For eg you installed 15w behind your house to lit a 50m garden, and you have few cars or vans at 10m distance and the gate at 50m distance. You may be assuming that camera will clearly show the white van and your black gate at 50m. No it wont, the ir light will make your vehicles parked up at 10m so bright that the cctv will have to tighten its aperture reaulting in darkening the overall image, hence your gate will turn even darker than it was without the ir light.If in such situation, try to buy couple or more less powerfull lights and place them around at different place to get proper vision.Buying just one big powerfull wont always work as intended.If using indoors and postioning along with the camera will give harsh affect, try to bounce it to the ceiling and you get proper 3d affect.See my pics without the ir light and with the ir light bounced.

Very low output. Mounted on a standard two storey house soffit so approx 25ft up and not enough light to even hit the floor. My standard cctv camera has a higher output.I bought this expecting something great given the size of the led’s and the size of the item - very large, like an old school 100w floodlight - and am very disappointed :(See the image attached - light is mounted to the right. Output just about visible on the wall below it but you can see there’s nothing visible on the ground.

illuminator works very well , i can now see a large area lit up like using a large spot light which without the illuminator was very dark , would definitely buy from this seller again , prompt delivery and reasonable price ,

Using this in my back garden and it makes such a difference to the camera image. You don't need to have this directly underneath he camera either, mine is a couple of metres away and it lights up the whole garden.

I've happily used these lights over many years but the latest purchase was defective:- low IR light output (lamp drawing only 3W of power rather than the specified 12W)- power lead too short to be useful (only 25cm rather than the specified 50cm)Looks like a quality control problem. Fortunately, Amazon makes it easy to return defective items.

Despite good and bad reviews I went with this IR Illuminator. I have been very pleased as the distance I needed to illuminate was well beyond the limited range of the camera IR lights. My experience was positive, the light was wide enough for my usage and extended out to beyond 100 feet. I have only been using this three days but my experience has been positive.I did not use the included power supply as I had to mount the illuminator a fair distance from the power supply. I ran a two conductor wire of a larger gauge (Cable Matters) to the light to minimize any potential voltage loss. I also used a more powerful power supply as the distance involved was beyond normal. I had the impression that the included voltage supply and any pre-made two conductor wire was not up to the job. Water resistance seems to be adequate. We had a very serious rain storm last night and everything continues to work properly even though the illuminator is not in a protected area..

These lights work really well. I bought and installed three units. Probably could have got by with just two units. I have about 60 feet from the camera position to the street and much of that distance is driveway. Without the lights, the camera IR did not light up my vehicles. I could just barely see past the front bumper of the truck and the car behind it was completely invisible. With these lights, I can see everything out to and including the street and my neighbor's front yard - it's like daylight out there. In fact, with no white lights from the house on, I can't see much out the window - outlines mainly, but with these IR units, everything is lit up. I'll be buying more for the other parts of the yard. And with all that light, it's still just 36 watts - amazing. I'll update after the winter - longevity still has to be proven. To mount these and get the perfect angle, I used Neewer tripod ball heads. Die IR Lampe ist, mit der IP Kamera gesehen, sehr hell. Im Nahbereich fast zu hell. Ich würde mir heute die nächst kleiner nehmen oder sie etwas entfernter montieren. In jedem Fall tut sie, was sie soll und wir sind sehr zufrieden

Faccio questa recensione dopo il secondo acquisto, il primo è stato effettuato circa un anno fa. Tutt'ora fa il suo magnifico lavoro, permettendo alla telecamera di riprendere una stradina lunga circa 30 metri, passando da una scarsa visione a quasi giorno. Visto che ha superato anche gli infiniti temporali di quest'anno, ne ho acquistato un'altro per il giardino.
