Water tastes really clean. It also lasts 6 months, which is better for the pocket, then buying the usual water filters in plastic, which have to be changed monthly.Most important reason for buying these, I think, is that it reduces plastic waste.I would give it 5 stars if the item didn't arrive in plastic packaging.

Water filters are very expensive at the long run . I’ve been using those sticks for a while now and have saved a lot of money .The water taste far much better and is safer to drink too . I take one on my trips , camping or when I am going abroad .I boiled the sticks after 3 months and renew every 6 months .Value for money !

Excellent product. I have used it for about 2 weeks and found it is great and providing naturally sweet water. I have followed the instructions on the packaging, which directed that the water be left for 8 hours before drinking. This I do in the evening and let it stay in the bottle all over the night until the next morning. I leave the water and water bottle on the kitchen counter as it seems to work well for me. I did leave it in the fridge on an occassion but found that the chilled water was not suited to me as much as room temperature water is. A really excellent item. I did look into testing the product to see, if it actually did remove the chlorine from the water, by purchasing strips, that you dip into the water. Though, I decided not to go ahead as that would have meant spending more money. I do have a very strong belief that that water is excellent and it just creates a natural sweetness to the water, which I also read in another review, before I decided to go ahead and purchase the item. I decided to buy 2 sticks. As this helps to remove chlorine from 3 litres of water - 1 stick for 1.5 litres of water. Think the item is going to last ages for me as I am the only one that uses it and drinks from the purified water. I really would recommend to anyone else who wants NO chlorine in their water. The taste for me, just shows me how good it is and if water is in a bottle and you remove the lid to quickly smell, there is no smell of chlorine. So all good, really.

Not noticed any difference and they are extremely expensive needing replacement every 3 months. Not going to bother with any more.

I had been looking for a good water purification method for the water system in my home. There where pros and cons to each one I looked at (including the price!!!.) Then I found this charcoal filter stick, It is a simple economical solution to the problem. Charcoal has been used for centuries in medicine, art and industry and most importantly in this case, as a purification tool. It has the ability to absorb toxins and odours and has even been used in gas masks. Whilst in the long term I would still like to find a system for my water taps, this carbon stick will definitely do for now. It can be dropped into your water bottles and is ready to drink in 8 hours. I took it away on holiday to use so that we had fresh clean water to decant into smaller bottles and take out with us during the day. Buying two is a good Idea if you drink a lot of water as you can drink from one bottle whilst waiting for the other to activate. I haven't checked out the ph levels of the water yet, as I have no means of testing at the moment. If you are uncertain of the ph levels, you can put a drop of lemon in the water.

Water tastes great once I added it to our drinking water tank. And it had been horrid before. Britta filters alone couldn't make it better.Now this little thing is added and it's delicious.One star knocked off because it is pricey.Also - one thing to note is that the information here says it lasts six months and can be boiled to reactivate.However, the information provided on the packet states that it should be boiled after 3 months.So it is left unclear whether it needs to be boiled at 3 months. Also whether boiling it at 6 months will make it last a further 3 months?Or at 6 months it is done?
